Update from the Magic Kingdom today!
We woke up at 6:00am / then woke up kids around 6:30am. We were at bus stop by 6:55am and a bus arrived at 7:10am. We are getting our bus at the main (South Depot) at PORS. We arrived at the Magic Kingdom and were through bag check by about 7:35am and they let us on Main Street at 7:45am. We had BOG breakfast reservations at 8:10am and we walked right in early as we had pre-ordered. Food was at our tables by 8:05am- we sat in the West Wing. Dark but interesting. We've sat in all of the rooms a couple of times each and this is the one our DD's like best. After breakfast, we lined up at Mine Train around 8:40am. We were let on Mine Train about 8:55am. When we got off, people were just starting to come in from the welcome castle show. Next we rode Peter Pan and then Haunted Mansion. We then used FP+ at BTMRR and FP+ at Splash Mt. Then we rode Pirates and got Dole Whip floats. So good! Next we went to Monsters Inc Laugh Floor, Buzz Lightyear and then DD's used FP+ and rode Space Mt twice using their magic bands and then our magic bands - while they did Space DH and I saw Carousel of Progress and did People Mover. Next we saw Mickey's Philarmagic and rode Small World. Then we had a 2:00pm lunch at Liberty Tree Tavern. This was new for us but it will not be our last time here! The colony salad was awesome!! (other family members had the fish and chips and the burger - all great. They were planning on the Patriot Platter but weren't hungry enough for an AYCE). But, the star of the show was the ooey gooey toffee cake ... AMAZING!Service was fantastic. On the way out of the park we shopped at the Emporium and filled up our refillable popcorn bucket. We were back at PORS in our room just before 4pm. There is currently a storm outside- thunder/lightning/rain, so we timed it right! We are at the resort tonight to rest and swim. Tomorrow is even earlier as we are going to try to get to TSL at DHS. I'm hoping to find out if they're letting people in at 6:30am or not until later. I've heard reports of both. I will try to report back tomorrow with our experience.

It was fun reading about your day! It sounded like fun. We tried LTT on our last trip and loved it. Good food and great prices too. I have been wondering up the HS opening time since I have read conflicting things. Looking forward to reading your report back!

On a side note: How much is a popcorn bucket and how much are refills? Does anyone know if they have these at the waterparks as well? I am surprised in all our trips we have never bought one.

Sounds like an awesome day! So glad for your report. I just booked a BOG 8am ADR for the 23rd, so seeing your report is extremely helpful for me! Thanks. Good luck tomorrow with TSL, I will be waiting on your report.

@DisneyObsessed87 We paid $10 I think? Refills at $1.75 - we really get our money's worth as we are here for 2 weeks / 10 park days. Especially like the flavoured popcorn at Epcot. We got a bucket last summer too - cute souvenir as well. Not sure about water parks as we don't do them very often.
You must be getting excited about your trip!

Sounds like a great deal. My kids love popcorn, so I think it would be worth it for us. I am getting very excited!!!

So we've had a flurry of activity related to our trip in this week before we depart! Our babysitter, who is like a family member to us, has an AP and she just told us she wanted to surprise the kids and come join in the fun! I checked with the Contemporary and she can crash in our room for $35 a night, which didn't seem terrible (compared to adding her to our package which would cost like a million dollars). We can't get her on the ME with us but she has family who can pick her up at the airport. I've been feverishly trying to add her to our ADRs and figure out coordinating fastpasses - it's like I get to plan all over again! Lol. I was not able to add her to our Coral Reef dinner, but my DD can easily sit on my lap for a meal so I'm hoping we can sweet talk an extra person in with us when we get to the restaurant. My parents are not up for very many of the rides (nothing that moves faster than Small World, lol) but we got them fastpasses with us anyway when we originally booked, so she can borrow one of their Magic Bands to join us on a lot of the rides. I just ordered her a matching T-shirt for our family t-shirt day. Saturday is my one-week mark! The kids have no idea - we're planning a wake-up and head to the airport surprise, and then another surprise when they see my parents at the airport, and now ANOTHER surprise when their beloved babysitter "happens" to show up in the park in a matching t-shirt!! I hope all of this surprising doesn't backfire. Fingers crossed. Now to figure out how to secretly pack up the kids and - even trickier- take the dog to the kennel on Friday without them wondering why he's missing. Hopefully my children are feeling particularly unobservant on Friday. Or believe me that the dog went on vacation. :rotfl2:

Not sure on water parks but last trip we tried the flavored popcorn at epcot for the first time and we are hooked now, buying a popcorn bucket for sure this trip!

We can't get her on the ME with us but she has family who can pick her up at the airport.
Why can't she get ME?

Well I'm exhausted :surfweb: I'm trying to get everything thing done for work before I leave and it's my busiest week of the month as an accountant. I had issues with my washing machine over the weekend so I'm almost packed instead of all packed like I wanted. Ex husband coming tonight with the kids to pack them. Still ahead of where I am usually really, usually I'm a night before/day of packer. 2 more work days and we fly. :drive:

Contemplating a Target run for some gift cards and odds and ends. Waiting till we get to Fort Lauderdale to get all our toiletries for the trip so I don't have to worry about checking an extra bag.:D

Updated all my ADRs and my AKL CL reservation with my boys newly confirmed food Allergies so this will make an interesting trip for food with my middle son as I told him he had to try 2 new food this trip.:rolleyes1

4 days till we arrive at Disney :dancer:

I too am in the field and getting away can be so hard.
We started our journey to DW and we start our stay at The AKL CL. We are so excited.

Enjoy your trip!

Tomorrow my daughter and I travel to our favorite place in the world! :cheer2: Reading updates from people that are there now is so fun and gets me so excited! We finally took the plunge and purchased annual passes, so we will be activating them first thing when we arrive. This is a short trip to celebrate my DD's Sweet 16 Birthday. She plans to participate in the college program and continue working at Disney after college. Our goal is to do all four parks in one day to celebrate her milestone birthday!
party:

Happy birthday to your DD. Our oldest DD did the DCP and she loved it. I hope you make your goal.

It’s beeen a long 2 day drive, but we are now 38 minutes from Orlando!

So exciting. Enjoy. We are on day 1 of our 2 day trip.

Our last day today. After breakfast on balcony watching animals, packed up DD’s apartment. She’s spending night with us. She wanted to go to Epcot one more time so I used one of her guest passes. Rode SE then lunch in Mexico, desert in France. Then I got to go cast connections with her-we found a few things here. Back to resort to pack up our stuff and clean up for dinner-DD found a 9:30pm ADR for California grill this morning as we were going to Epcot. Decided to go to MK to do Peoplemover, barely beat rain to resort monorail to Contemporary. But because of storm fireworks were delayed-they started about 5 minutes after we checked in. Wow it’s amazing to watch from there! We had loose plans to maybe do EMH at MK after, but we really lingered over dinner, and were so tired after that we called a Minnie Van to get back to Jambo.

Been a great fun week, and I’m ready for home!
Safe travels to those also ending soon & to those still to come!

Thank you for your updates. We enjoyed reading about people who were there. We get there tomorrow.
Enjoy your trip home.

Why can't she get ME?
They said unless she’s actually on our package (room, tickets, and dining plan), she can only stay with us as a “day guest” and register at the hotel when we are there. So the ME won’t have her as part of our group.

Enjoying your updates! We fly out Tuesday to start our fun!

I was watching wait times for tsl and it went from 5-45 at 6:50. Curious to read your report on what time they are now letting everyone in. It looks like it’s not as easy to get slinky first thing. We have FPs but we’re hoping for that early advantage to sneak a standby ride in.

Hope all went great for you this am!!

6 days left to go! Tomorrow we start our last 5 days of work before we leave. It always seems the last week before vacation drags on the longest. This time next week I will be riding Flights of Passage! Really looking forward to taking my parents to Animal Kingdom. The last time they were at Disney (20 some years ago) AK was not even open yet! Looking like that day is going to be a hot one, so I think we will definitely be taking a break in the afternoon.

Is the number for Pop Century in post #1 the number for the front desk? I'm going to call and see if they will be able to store our grocery delivery from Instacart like they do with deliveries from Garden Grocer. If they will, that solves my dilemma of when to order our groceries :):)

I have seen on other boards that the resorts are able to accept Instacart orders and hold them at Bell Services IF there is no alcohol in the order. If there is alcohol, Instacart's policy is that the driver has to hand it over to you directly. It's worth double checking with the resort to be sure.

Today's is our fly out day finally!! We will be in Disney by Monday and I can't contain my excitement. Trying to get the CR cake line to confirm my cake order for Monday. Working till 3 and going home to finish packing us all up. Then off to the airport with the kiddies. I'm exhausted but I will sleep on the plane lol.

Told my BF I wish he was coming but I promised him next April it will be just us and lots of Alcohol lol He says he can't wait lol.
