That's awesome! We're going in 12 days and I am hoping to book a bounce back for Sept. or Oct. I really don't know much about how that works. How did you get the 30% pin? Does anyone know anything about bounce back offers being offered now? I haven't even gotten to the POLY (our 1st time staying there) and know I want to go back :)

That's what I did. But I ordered one in DFI's name and sent it to my mother's address. I saw that it was only one DVD per household and I already placed an order for mine. About a month later, he got a Pin code and we upgraded to the Poly from AKL

I sit corrected! LOL Actually, I wasn't even thinking about that (the person being able to walk onto the boat and then someone folding up the chair!). :scratchin

I'm usually in an EVC, so I wasn't thinking about the lighter wheelchairs that you can fold. Thanks for bringing this up since a lot of people WOULD be able to do that! ::yes::

I ordered one to my name to my other mailing address :rotfl:I had originally ordered one to my primary address, but after 2 months and NO DVD I ordered another one (because of the 1 per household). In the meantime, I eventually got the one first one I ordered, and the other one came super fast. :confused3

    Hello everyone.

We are staying in the Poly in late July. Does anyone know if the club level rooms have I-Pod docking stations? I read somewhere that they did since the remodels but I am not sure. Thanks for any info you can share.:thumbsup2

We were last in the club level in October and I don't remember an I-Pod dock. Perhaps they've been added since?:confused3

Hiya! 5 days until the Poly? I know you're beyond excited! :goodvibes

My own personal rule is if I'm going to the Studios or Animal Kingdom, I leave my room no later than an hour before the time I want to arrive at the parks. I'd catch the bus from the TTC mainly because if you get the bus from the Poly, it has to stop at the GF first (and may have stopped at the CR to pick up folks). The bus from the TTC goes straight to the parks. Think of the bus from the TTC as the 'express' and the one that stops at the Poly as the 'local'. :thumbsup2

On a purely selfish note because I'm such a caffeine addict, I like the walk to the TTC because I can get my coffee from Kona Island in the GCH and enjoy it on the way to catch the bus. :lmao:

I'm a big kid at heart and I'm always excited to stay at the Poly. The wait until December for me is killer! You guys are going to really enjoy it. :cloud9:

You're welcome. We'll be back there for a couple nights in May. Our DD will be with us and will certainly use the dock if it's there so I'll know for sure after that.

But I meant to say before:

    Welcome to the DIS!!!!

I am getting a little worried about the non-Poly guests talking about using the Poly pool after the luau, Shades of Green guests using the pool and monorail station.... Is the resort going to be insanely crowded? I know the monorail use is to be expected but please tell me the CM's will be checking resort ID's for the pool?!

I'm kind of getting nervous about this, too. :confused3 We're staying at the Poly for the first time in December and I don't think it's fair that non-resort guests might be using the facilities that we're paying so much money to utilize.

I'm surprised that IDs aren't more readily checked as they are at the Beach & Yacht Club, the Poly is such a hot spot since a lot of people travel there exclusively for the Luau and restaurants.

Disney has managed the "crowd level" all pools quite well. I don't go in Dec to my DVC because of underutilizing the pool.
Been there with hat, gloves and heavy sweatshirt...and that's not my idea of a vacation in Fla.

So...don't think you'll be doing too much swimming in December anyway.;)

Well I WILL be swimming in April and I will not be happy if non-Poly guests are using the pool. I hope what you say is true, that Disney is managing the pool crowd level. From what I have read (non guests bragging about using the volcano pool) I have some doubts.

I was at the Poly last Sept and the pool was busy. I wish they would check IDs like they do at the YC/BC. We have stayed there the last 2 xmas and they always check IDs.

We most likely won't use the pools this Dec while at the Poly. But will use the beaches, and monorail. My understanding when we booked, is that the monorail, beaches, pools etc were perks reserved for deluxe resort guests, who paid a pretty penny for them. I wouldn't usually worry too much about non resort guests using these aminities. I must admit the thought of these being crowded with non resort guests over the very busy holiday season does bother me. I expect the monorail to be crowded with Deluxe resort guests at park closing. Can you imagine how packed they will be with non resort guests using them as well? I personally, never even considered using the deluxe aminities when I was not paying for them. But that's just me.:confused3 Guess there isn't anything to be done about it. We certainly won't let it ruin our vacation. Just don't think it's fair to those who budgeted for the deluxe and have to share with the folks booked in the value and mods.
Ok I'll climb down off my soapbox now. I didn't mean to get carried away here. On to more happy thooughts, Like planning our vacation:thumbsup2

I wouldn't worry about it too much. :goodvibes I've read on the boards here a lot about how many people supposedly pool-crash at the Poly. From the two times i've stayed there, the pool was never crowded and the amount of people in the pool was pretty manageable even at around high-noon.

But I definitely share your sentiment about non-Poly guests using the pool. While I don't actively look for pool-crashers when I'm relaxing there, if they get on my radar I will handle it. But I haven't had it happen to me yet. :)

Most non-resort guests seem to drop by the Poly to dine and see the fireworks from the beach. :thumbsup2 And even when the Luau was over, I didn't see a mad dash to the pool. If anything folks were making a mad dash to the monorail or their cars in the parking lot to get back to their resorts.

Thank you! I feel so much better. I was only worried about the pool because I myself have stayed at other resorts but have dined, visited and watched fireworks from the Poly before so I expect it.

I can't speak for previous December's but we were in Disney from December 10th - 16th 2007 and it was in the 80s all week and we swam until the sun went down! :lmao: I know the week after we left it cooled down so maybe we were just very lucky.

All I know is I'm super-excited! I'm not going to worry myself about it while I'm there - I'll be having too much fun to care! :rotfl:

If you didn't get a ground floor pool view, then Fiji on the Luau Cove side is great for little kids because they can play on the beach right there outside the room. It is both very close to the building and NOT busy, so very easy to use.
