Any photos of the check in area? I thought that was being renovated also.

Go to the first 2 pages to look at pics and descriptions. There are 2 bldg with rooms: Tower and South Garden Wing. Tower has MK view rooms and Bay Lake view rooms. You book these specific room views. The Tower has the monorail, shops, restaurants, check in.I'm so excited. We have 2 trips to Disney booked. One in April and another in Nov.
I haven't been to Disney since 1985, and DH was there in the 70's and barely remembers it.
Our Nov 9-13th trip will be at the Contemporary!!!!!! We have a theme park view. I am beyond excited over this trip!!
Our girls will be 5 & 3, we have a lightweight stroller.
What do I need to know??? There are SO MANY details that goes into planning these trips that I feel like I might lose my mind.
I hear people mentioning being close to the Tower. What's in the Tower? Why is important to be close to it?
Should I request a particular room?? We will have 3 adults and 2 rambunctious kids.
I really want this to be a magical trip for the little ones, being able to see the fireworks.
Is there anything else I should know before I go?
HELP!!! Give me the good, the bad, the don't forget, be sure to see.... list.
thanks

Tower Theme Park Rooms go from the 6th floor to the 11th floor. Floors 12 & 14 are Concierge. You have a fantastic view of the MK on all floors. The monorail is on the 5th floor.when they say magic kingdom view how high are you in the tower?
Ok, I need some PD. We have had to cancel our trip to WDW twice now (Sept 07 and Feb 08). The CR is our fave, and it is booked right now. please send some PD our way that a Tower TPV room opens up for April 26-May 3~
Really? Our AAA agent is with that branch, and they said it was only available part of those dates. I've left her a voice mail and I'm on the phone with CRO right now.
I'd love them! Please email them to me at triplefigs@bellsouth.net or post them here and I'll update the first page.Triplefigs - I wish you luck on finding your Tower MKV for you dates. I'm bummed for you.
On another question, I have 2 pictures of the lobby from December just after they removed the construction panels. I'll be happy to get them to you for posting, if you want.
Don't know, but I would guess for the construction equipment.I was reviewing my photos from a recent trip and noticed work along the canal south of the south wing. It appear to be work to shore up the water line - or the shore line. What confuses me is that it appears a one-lane roadway is going in along the shore (from the midst of the garden wing running up under the monorail line) but that could be for the construction equipment access. Does anyone know what they are doing here?
Congragulations on finally getting a Magic Kingdom view and if your kids are happy about swimming at SAB, congragulations to also staying at the Beach Club and have a great time.Well, we got 4 nights in the Tower!!! So it's a 4/4 split between the Tower MK view and the Beach Club. My kids are thrilled to get to go to Storm Along Bay and swim too.
