Welcome to your 'little' group.

So DH is Jimmy but what is your name? Earlier on we were telling each other a little about ourselves and our previous Disney holidays and we would love to know more about you too...

Once you have done 10 posts you can start to personal message and perhaps join some of the organised events that will be going on during the WBTA 2014. It's easy to get ten posts - some people just post one or two words at a time!!!

We are Sue and Richard welcome again pixiedust:

:cool1:

oops lol sorry about that,
got so excited thinking about upcoming vacation:beach
My name is Judy. The EBTA will be my fifth Disney Cruise.

pixiedust:
Vacation on the Magic will be wonderful.
hopefully I will catch up with DH on the weight loss front.
He has lost 20 lbs to my two:confused3
It's not as if I would ever supplement my diet with candy or miscount my ww points :littleangel:

Hmmmm...maybe that's our problem, too. Funny how two bags of M&Ms we just bought for Easter have mysteriously disappeared :confused3. Sadly, I keep putting off my "start date" for beginning ANOTHER exercise program. But now it's April 1, I swear! :goodvibes DH (who has far less weight to lose than I do) used to be able to drop weight anytime he wanted, but age has taught him a nasty lesson...darned metabolism :sad::sad: Now, he has to work at it, too, but he actually likes exercise. I will just never, ever, ever :crazy2:.

:wave2: WELCOME to all the newbies. Glad you're here :wave2:

well I lost 18 pounds because I gave up junk food and walking my dog about everyday. Serve you right for buying two bags of M&M jessicamom

Hey yall!

Is anyone doing a B2B on the August 30th 7-night in Barcelona or the September 20th 7-night in Puerto Rico? Im thinking of doing one on the front end in Europe. If you swing it, do they let you stay in your same room? Ive never done a B2B before but why not now?

Sorry, no B2B for us :sad1:

Has anyone else noticed that the prices have gone up quite a bit in the last 2 weeks? Or, at least, our category is gone and the next higher category left is $200 more per person.

Can you please not PM me to find out when the events on the first page will be updated, I update them as soon as the organiser PM's me with an update.

If you want to check that you are on the list then please chase the event organiser not me.

Thanks. :)

We are doing a B2B at the end of the cruise so we see a few more Caribbean Islands. Couldn't stay in the same cabin as we booked the WBTA as soon as it was released and only decided yesterday to stay on the ship and do the B2B. We will be in the cabin next door for the 7 night. Never done it before so would like to know the procedure ourselves....so come on you cruising guru's.....do we pack our bags and take them off the ship or do they stay on and we get off....what's the procedure please...

Having never done a B2B and making this a 3 week cruise is so exciting....are there any more of you staying on???

:yay:

"Having done several, I can tell you that each one was different! ANd they were different from what friends have reported. What is certain is that you will get a letter in your cabin explaining YOUR process in detail.

IF you are keeping the same cabin, you don't pack up at all. If you are changing cabins, you pack up your suitcases and leave them packed in the first cabin on the last morning; the stateroom host will have them moved to the second cabin--no need to take them off the ship or put them out on the last night.

At Port Canaveral, our experience was that we were asked to be off the ship by 9:15. We were NOT escorted off, nor did we meet a CM at GS. We got off the ship with our documents and went thru Customs. We told the agent we were doing a B2B and he pointed us to the stairs that took us right back into the terminal boarding area. At about 9:45, a CM appeared and told us that they weren't quite ready for us yet--it would be a few more minutes till the previous cruise was "closed out" on the computer. At that time, she could check us in for our next cruise. That happened about 10. We did ask about upgrades and there were none available. We reboarded as soon as we had checked in (all finished before any newbies were allowed into the terminal). We had access to all open areas of the ship--pools as soon as they were cleaned (not slides as there were no lifeguards). THere was food in the Cove Cafe and beverages at the beverage station. Lunch was available as soon as boarding started.

On other cruises, there was adult food in the Cove Cafe and food for families in the Promenade Lounge...but when only a couple of families, they note that for this 1 1/2 hour period, kids will be allowed in the Cove Cafe. Obviously, the Promenade Lounge time was on the Magic; not sure if they use the Vista Cafe on the Fantasy for families....as if we don't have enough food already.

We told our stateroom host to not bother with our room since it was such a busy day for him--he did it anyhow"

Hope it helps I have had no experience of this my self though.

Hey thanks for quick response and all that information, Norman. I will cut and paste into a word doc and keep for next year.

It would be great if we didn't have to move cabins and then we wouldn't have to pack our cases (Yuck) we are now in 6011 for the WBTA and couldn't get that one again so we are next door in 6015 for the 7 night afterwards - anybody on the DIS is 6015 that we know - would they like to swap with us for the WBTA so we can stay in the same cabin??? Will buy you a drink!

Thanks again Norman for the info.

I am looking into a hotel in San Juan... Most of the boutique hotels require a 2 nights stay however, so I will be looking at larger places... I will put you on the Interested in San Juan hotel list...

Hi Sue - my hubby and I would be interested in a 2 night stay in San Juan if you are arranging hotels in Puerto Rico too - please keep us in mind -
THANKS -
