The "I Wasn't Going to Do a Trip Report" Trip Report!~May 2015-Update 5/10/16-New TR link!

Gorgeous sunsets!!!

that lemonade does look yummy! if you think it was too sweet, it would be too sweet for me too! and I love sweets!!

yum- cronut!

I am so sad, I don't know when we will be back to Disney. Probably not until summer 2017 :( I wish I could be there right now, even in all the rain! lol

TAKE BETTER NOTES! HAHAHA ;)

I absolutely need, not want, NEED to have a cupcake from Starring Rolls on our next trip! I still haven't had the chance to try the red velvet but they all look really amazing.

The removal of the animation class is really tragic. I can only hope they are moving it to a larger space since it seems to be more popular now, but I'm not holding my breath. :(

Speaking of yummy Disney snacks, I am totally intrigued by this cronut! It has been popping up in so many TRs lately and tempting me!!

OMG the Christmas store!! So many awesome things in there!!!

Just read your whole trip so far and loving all the food porn! Sounds like a great time coming up next week! I hope you get to meet some princesses this time! It should be a birthday present for yourself :)

Looks like you guys had amazing weather luck on that trip! The skies were just beautiful in all your pics!

The cronut.....mmmmmmmmmm

I'm excited to read your report about the Boardwalk! That trip is coming up so soon! If I don't get back here before then I hope you have an amazing time!!! Yea Disney! :cheer2:

Whew, I fell way behind, but I got caught up on the last few updates now. However, I can't remember much of what I wanted to say. But I am now strangely hungry and have visions of sunsets dancing in my head.

Your birthday and trip are coming up so soon! Very excited for you and happy birthday (in advance)!

Ya know, I've heard that Simpsons monorail reference a million times but I've never seen an episode. Which is strange considering it's been around since I was like... One? Hahaha. Random but ANYWAYS, yay monorail!

Ahhh I'm so excited for you to go on your trip! You will love the Boardwalk, I just know it. And you'll be so close by that whenever a cronut craving comes along you can just go get one! They look SO GOOD!

Omg, such pretty sunset pictures. Again!

The holiday sandwich AHHHH. I'm not even hungry but man does that look good!

Brandon doesn't like the Christmas store? Does he also not like breathing? I mean come on. :lmao: Kidding, kidding. ;)

You haven't seen the Simpsons???? OMG! It's one of my favorite shows ever, and the monorail episode is one of the best! But really, if you're going to watch them ever, watch the older ones, Seasons 1-9. Anything after is awful. It's too bad, I feel like they should have ended a long time ago, the writing is so awful now.

Thanks me too! I cannot wait for the Boardwalk, it's sad that that's what I'm looking forward to the most! I've just wanted to stay there forever and I'm finally getting to! It doesn't seem real that I'm going to drive up and actually check in! :rotfl:

Thanks!

I can't wait for the holiday sandwich! First stop I'm making after we check in, Earl of Sandwich!

I know...I think he doesn't like it because I can spend hours in there and he gets bored after a while. I'm pretty sure the first time we went in there I was in there for at least 2 hours and he wanted to kill me! So now when I walk towards that store he must have flashbacks or something. :confused3:rotfl2:

I know right! I'm pretty certain that based on the time stamps on our TSM pics that you must have past our stroller.

Good to know!

:rotfl:

Take better notes next week! :thumbsup2 :rotfl:

I'm telling ya. We should have done better to coordinate. we were in the same place at the same time for sure! Great minds! :rotfl2:

Haha, that's crazy!

And thanks for the reminder, I'll try!

I know! Next time, hopefully! :thumbsup2

Gorgeous sunsets!!!

TAKE BETTER NOTES! HAHAHA ;)

Thanks!

Haha, I do too, but it was REALLY sweet!

I bet you'll find a way to sneak in a trip next year! I don't know when I'll be back either, I want to do Disneyland next year...we'll see!

Thanks! :thumbsup2

I absolutely need, not want, NEED to have a cupcake from Starring Rolls on our next trip! I still haven't had the chance to try the red velvet but they all look really amazing.

OMG the Christmas store!! So many awesome things in there!!!

Yes, you do!!! The red velvet is awesome, but my favorite is the peanut butter, it's SO GOOD!!!!

I know, it is. I'm hoping they move it somewhere too, but I don't really see it happening.

OMG get a cronut!!! It's the best thing ever!

I know, right? I love it!

Just read your whole trip so far and loving all the food porn! Sounds like a great time coming up next week! I hope you get to meet some princesses this time! It should be a birthday present for yourself :)

Thanks! And thanks again! Haha I can't promise anything, but I will try! Maybe I'll be brave this trip, who knows?

Looks like you guys had amazing weather luck on that trip! The skies were just beautiful in all your pics!

The cronut.....mmmmmmmmmm

I'm excited to read your report about the Boardwalk! That trip is coming up so soon! If I don't get back here before then I hope you have an amazing time!!! Yea Disney! :cheer2:

We did! I'm guessing we won't be that lucky this weekend, but I don't even care, I'll be in Disney!

I am so excited for the Boardwalk!!! Thank you!

I know I'm way behind too. All I have time for right now is updating here and not reading much or commenting. I'll try to get back on track once this trip is over! :thumbsup2

I know I'm so excited! And thank you! :goodvibes

But it opened soon after and there was basically no wait. :thumbsup2 That's the only way I can ride RnRC now, because I can't waste a FP on it, since it's in a different tier than ToT and TSM!

IMG_9053.jpg
I'm glad you didn't actually have a wait (except for the ride to open). My solution is always the Single Rider line, even when I'm not solo. I'd rather we split up and get in the shorter line than wait to ride together! :thumbsup2

We got off and ran over to the Tower of Terror, which only had a 10 minute wait!

IMG_9055.jpg
WOW! NICE!

We only went on once, because we were starving at that point and had to get breakfast...where do you eat breakfast in Hollywood Studios? That's right, Starring Roles. The only place where it's acceptable to have a cupcake for breakfast.

IMG_9058.jpg
Mmmm. I miss these cupcakes for breakfast! :cloud9:

And there's no seating in the Starbucks, at least at Starring Roles you can grab a table and sweat your you know what off while eating your cupcake sitting down. :rotfl:
You know, sweating while eating totally negates calories. It's true! ::yes::

(Still, they could have found a home for the drawing class, you know?)
I know it's not exactly the same, but they do still offer them at Art of Animation! :goodvibes

Here's my Winnie the Pooh, it's not the best, but whatever!

IMG_9060.jpg
Too cute! I love it! :cutie:

See, this is the nice thing about FP+ that I love, no fighting the crowds in the morning to run over here to get in line, no waiting for 90 minutes to ride.
I totally agree! :thumbsup2

We went to One Man's Dream next and looked around for a little while, which is always fun. I really hope they don't close this down, but I have a bad feeling about it.
Yeah, I have that same bad feeling... :sad2:

and Brandon got this:

IMG_9101.jpg

I have no clue what it is, haha! Sorry, I was pretty much done with taking notes at this point of the day!
Whatever it was, it looks delicious! Yum! :bitelip:

il_340x270.647434168_cf5d.jpg

(Ok so this title has nothing to do with Disney, haha, except that the first picture that I'm using for this update is of the monorail, which made me get the Simpsons Monorail song stuck in my head!)
Hahaahahahaa! This CRACKED ME UP! :lmao:

Anyway, I'm hoping next Tuesday I'll be able to finish this TR up before my trip, I'll have to do one long update, so I hope no one minds if I do that! I have like, no notes from that day anyway, so :confused3.
My trip reports for longer trips, usually the last post or two is mainly photos. I never take notes and my the time I get around to trying to write up the last few days, I started having trouble recalling the smaller details. I keep telling myself I'm going to become a note-taker, but then I don't. Hopefully on this upcoming trip in December, I'll manage to change that! ::yes::

Apparently the first thing we did when we got inside was look at a Disney bunny and take 5,000 pictures of it.

IMG_9114.jpg
I freakin' love Disney bunnies! And ducks! They're the best! :cutie:

What better to follow up some sugar with? More sugar!
Totally reasonable. :thumbsup2

Sooo pretty! I can't get over how many amazing sunsets we saw on this trip! Totally made up for the rainy mess of our September trip last year, where all we saw were gray skies!
I was there last September too, and experienced the SAME rainy yucky mess! :crazy2:

Since we didn't have anything planned, I suggested we leave and go to Downtown Disney because I had to go to Earl of Sandwich again. Brandon wasn't thrilled about driving there, since it's such a mess, but he agreed because you know, Earl of Sandwich. :rotfl2:
So do ya'll like Earl of Sandwich? Just curious.

IMG_9151.jpg

OMG the Holiday Sandwich, I am SO happy they have this year-round now, it is the BEST sandwich ever!!
Good lord, that looks AMAZING. I want one RIGHT NOW. Get in my belly!

Oh Bother!

May 9, Part 1!

Hi everyone! So I'm going to hopefully finish this up today! I usually do a TR wrap up after the last update, but there's really not much to say about this trip once the TR was over, it was awesome! We had the best weather, we stayed in the best resorts, most of our ADR's were great! I don't have much to complain about with this trip!

We were up at 6, once more, on our last Disney day, but this time, we had a good reason, we had a favorite ADR to get to! So we got dressed and were out the door and at MK by 7:30. Well, I should say we parked at 7:30, we didn't actually walk in until about 45 minutes later. Ugh, MK parking, I hate it!

We were eating breakfast at Crystal Palace, which I mentioned, is one of our favorites, but we had a little while before we had to actually check in, so we decided to take some pictures in front of the Castle. We found a photopass photographer who was taking pictures of a family and waited on the side, which is what you're supposed to do when waiting for photopass, right? Well just as this family finishes up, these 3 girls walk up and just try to get right in front of us and get their picture taken, but the PP was like "there's a line and they were here first, so you have to wait." Not that rudely, of course, but I did detect a bit of annoyance and sass with the way she told them to wait, which was awesome. I can't stand when people think they can do whatever they want in Disney!

We had her take a few pictures with our camera first

IMG_0771.jpg

and then she took a bunch with her camera. She took the standard standing in front of the castle pictures, like the one above, but then she made us do this pose...she made Brandon put his arms up like he was flexing, like Gaston, or something, and to like, kick my foot up and act like some little damsel or something, I don't remember how she worded it, haha, but we're not really the best people to do these pictures with! But it's easier to actually do it and get out than argue with them and end up doing it anyway!

Here's one, because they're really weird, I won't show you them all, haha!

Screen%20Shot%202015-05-12%20at%207.36.41%20PM.jpg

You can kind of tell by the look on Brandon's face that he has no idea why he's doing this! I honestly think the PP wanted those other people behind us to wait as long as possible, because she took a long time with us!

Once we were finished with that torture, we went over to Crystal Palace and checked in. We were seated in a few minutes and immediately went up to the buffet because I think the characters were taking a little break or something.

I got an omelet, sausage, potatoes, which I didn't eat, and something else, which I didn't eat

IMG_9157.jpg

And then, I got the PUFFED!!! And a Mickey Waffle...but most importantly, the PUFFED!!!

IMG_9158.jpg

Ohhhh how I wish I could squeeze in an ADR here just for this puffed french toast, it is the BEST breakfast ever!

In between eating, we met the characters, of course! We met Piglet, but I won't bother putting up that picture, and then Pooh, who was so cute, but he was more interested in Brandon than me I guess, since I look like I'm not even supposed to be in the picture, haha!

IMG_0777.jpg

And then, we FINALLY met Eeyore! Guys, if you have read any of my TR's before, when we have eaten at CP, you know that we are ALWAYS snubbed by Eeyore! Well not this time! Of course, my picture with him is awful, but hey, FINALLY I met him! He was adorable, I love Eeyore so much!

IMG_0778.jpg

Ugh, you know, I was going to put up my picture too, but I really hate it. So just take my word for it, I met Eeyore finally!

Tigger was the last one we had to meet but he was a few tables away and we met him before, so we decided to pay and leave. We had MK exploring to do!

I wanted to meet my girl Marie, so I went back to the entrance where she usually is, and MINNIE was there! WHAT??? I thought that was Marie's spot? I freaked out and immediately started looking up character finding websites, and psychotically reading through the Disney app character locator...I had no idea where my Marie was!

During my breakdown (I was seriously upset about Marie, you know!) Brandon wanted to go to Adventureland, so we walked that way.

IMG_9160.jpg

Adventureland might be my favorite land...it's a tie between that and Tomorrowland, I love the music for each land SO much! I think I spend more time in Tomorrowland though, but I love them both!

Brandon wanted to do the Jungle Cruise, which surprised me, because I didn't think he liked it, but he said he did, so we went on that!

IMG_9162.jpg

We went on Pirates after, I love, and I think might be closed when I'm there? I'll have to check, that's so sad if that's the case.

We then walked all the way to Storybook Circus because I think I wanted to get a picture with Daisy or something, and Brandon saw the Barnstormer and decided he wanted to go on it. I told him it was for kids but he insisted. I was starting to get really hot, so I told him he could go on alone and I'd wait in the store and find a place to sit and drink some water. I really didn't feel like getting a migraine from the heat so I thought I'd hang out in some AC while I had the chance.

While I was waiting for Brandon, I went on Twitter and said something about Marie not being out, and luckily, a character attendant who works at MK saw it, and she told me that Minnie is out in the morning, and Marie would be out in the afternoon! I was so happy, because I was ready to give up on my Marie!

I found a shady place to sit and wait for Brandon, and he finally showed up, soaking wet, because he was hot, so on the way over to find me, he went in the splash thing with all the kids! He said he just walked right through and purposely got soaked! I'm sure it feels great when you do it, but I hate walking around in wet clothes, so there was no way I was doing that!

IMG_9167.jpg

I told him Marie should be out by now, and that we could skip Daisy to go see Marie, so we hopped on the train that brought us to the Main Entrance. There was Marie, greeting her fans, so I got in line. It was SO hot, there is no shade over there and the sun just kills you! Ugh! Finally it was my turn, and I was SO happy to meet my Marie! She's the one character I try to meet on every trip, I just love her so much, I think she's so cute! I gave her a big hug, and got a few pictures and went on my way, because OMG, it was HOT!

IMG_9172.jpg

We were ready to leave, but I had to do more thing before we left, which was buy a Dooney and Bourke! I finally decided on one! I ended up not getting the Haunted Mansion bag, because as much as I love it, it's HUGE. And I hate big purses so I thought I should get something smaller. And I loved the new-ish Disney World icons print. (I forget what it's called...Disneyana I think?) So we went over the the jewelers so I could get one, and I found the PERFECT one, after looking at a million of them. So we grabbed a CM and told him I wanted to buy one, and he was going to go get me one from the back! I was like, uh, bro, do you know anything about Disney Dooney and Bourkes? It's all about the placement. Of course I didn't say that, but I was thinking it. Luckily Brandon kinda made a joke about it and said I HAD to have a specific bag, so I think the CM was a little annoyed that he had to get his manager to come specifically unlock that one. So you mean to tell me, with all the crazy, Disney obsessed people in the world, I'm the first to buy a specific purse? Please.

I finally got my purse, paid, and left the jeweler and said goodbye to Main Street.

IMG_9174.jpg

On our way out, Brandon saw the Dapper Dans, so of course, we had to go watch them for a minute, he's obsessed with them!

IMG_9176.jpg

We watched them for a little while, and then finally went to our car and drove back to POR. Before we went to our room, we had some of the create your own pasta, which is so good, but so filling! Between the hot weather and the filling pasta, it was time for a nap! So we went back to the room to rest for a little while, before going to our last park!

Oh, and before I start the next update, here is my Disney Dooney!

IMG_9179.jpg

I love it so much, but you know what? Even this is a little too big for me! I'm just a small purse girl I guess! But I still love it and use it every day, I love that it has all of my favorite things on the front, the Castle, Spaceship Earth, and the Tower of Terror. I think my placement is awesome, but someone else might hate it! That's why I can't believe the CM was annoyed with me for picking one out! Whatever! :confused3

Ok, I'm going to continue this in the next post, so keep reading!

Oh Bother, Part 2!

We took a short nap, because I was anxious to get to the next park. Guess where we went?

IMG_9180.jpg

That's right, Epcot! I can't not go to Epcot on my last night in Disney, that's crazy!

It was a perfect, beautiful afternoon in Epcot!

IMG_9183.jpg

We had Soarin' FP's, so we used those first, because I have to ride Soarin' my last night, right? Of course! Then we went on Figment, which I actually know we did, because it's in my notes! Then we went over to the water area, where everyone was watching baby ducks and their mom. It turns out, these weren't the brightest baby ducks in the world, because they wouldn't follow the mommy duck out of the water, even though there was a ramp, they were way at the opposite end of the water, and for some reason, the mom kept jumping out or flying away, and quacking like a crazy...duck, and they were too small to follow. Of course, Brandon starts talking to some guy, who is very concerned, and they agree that if they don't come up with a plan to help the baby ducks, they will drown and die. So they thought that someone should get popcorn, feed it to the mom, and walk along the water, leaving a trail of popcorn for the mom to follow to the ramp. So the guy did this, he had to climb over bushes and everything, but he got those ducks to the ramp finally, and they all safely got out of the water. OMG it was such an ordeal, this took at least 45 minutes of planning and watching.

IMG_9186.jpg

IMG_9188.jpg

We went to the World Showcase next, and ended up in Italy, a place we don't spend a lot of time!

IMG_9193.jpg

Brandon wanted to go to the wine cellar there, just to check out what they had, and we ended up going in and getting a table. They gave us their own little menu and one from Tutto Italia, apparently you can order right off of their menu, which is nice if you're really hungry!

I think we got a ravioli appetizer to share, which was a very small portion, but it was fine, since we were still stuffed from all of that pasta! I also got a pomegranate martini, which was ok

IMG_9194.jpg

and the tiniest little cup of tiramisu ever!

IMG_9195.jpg

Everything was so good, that we decided we should go to Tutto on our next trip. Well, I forgot about that until a few weeks ago, and now Tutto is booked for the times I can fit it in! Oh well, hopefully next time!

Once again, the sun was setting and it was beautiful, so we both had to take 700 more pictures! We even went to the same place as the night before, because it looked so pretty!

IMG_9205.jpg

IMG_9216.jpg

I hoping we get a few sunsets like that this weekend!

We passed by Germany, where I think I wanted something from the caramel store but couldn't do it, because I was still too full!

IMG_9218.jpg

We went over to Norway, where I was looking for a place to watch Illuminations from, and I saw a spot where people were sitting, so I grabbed it before it got taken. We had about 30 minutes to wait, but I didn't care, my pre -Illuminations music was blasting, and I was happy!

Soon Illuminations started, and no one stood up, so we watched sitting down, which was awesome, because my feet hurt SO bad by the end of this trip!

IMG_9249.jpg

IMG_9252.jpg

IMG_9269.jpg

We got up to leave just before the end, like we always do so we don't get stuck in the mob of people, and went to MouseGear to buy a few things. Once we bought our stuff, it was time to go. We were going to go to the Magic Kingdom for a little while for Magic Hours, but we figured it would be smarter to go back to the room and pack, since we had a somewhat early flight and we had no packing done.

How do you say goodbye to your favorite park? You stay as long as you can, taking a million pictures of Spaceship Earth!

IMG_9274.jpg

IMG_9276.jpg

Soon it was time to go! Normally I'm sad, crying, kicking and screaming leaving my last park of the trip, but this time, it was ok, because I already had the idea for my birthday trip in my head! So even if that trip didn't work out, at least at that time, I thought it could! And hey, now look, I'm 3 days away from going back! So goodbye Epcot, but see you VERY soon!

So that's it! My May 2015 trip comes to a close! Thank you SO much to everyone who read this, I know I lost a lot of people along the way, which always happens, so a special thanks for those who hung in there, you guys are the best! :cool1::goodvibes Hopefully I will take awesome notes and pictures this weekend and I'll do a TR for this next trip, but who knows? If I do, I'll come here and put a link up! And I promise I'll do better keeping up with your TR's, I was doing SO good, and then I went to SC in July and got all backed up again! AHHHH!!

:lovestrucTalk to you guys soon!:lovestruc

You can kind of tell by the look on Brandon's face that he has no idea why he's doing this! I honestly think the PP wanted those other people behind us to wait as long as possible, because she took a long time with us!
:rotfl:

We watched them for a little while, and then finally went to our car and drove back to POR. Before we went to our room, we had some of the create your own pasta, which is so good, but so filling!
Depending on when this was we might have been in the food court at the same time. We were there around 2ish.

here is my Disney Dooney!

IMG_9179.jpg
Love! I want one of these one day.

I love the D&B you picked!!

I'm so glad you decided to do this TR because I love reading about your trips. :) Have so much fun on your birthday trip!!

Great TR!!! :thumbsup2 Thanks for sharing it with us...
And I especially love Dooney purse... Completely understand having to have the perfect Disney purse!!!

Have a great birthday trip (And Happy Birthday by the way party:)...

I hope you write another TR so we can enjoy your birthday with you!!!

Booo! It's always so sad when you leave your last park of the trip. :guilty: It's nice you had another one to sort of look forward to though and now its a real trip! I'm looking at the calendar now and realizing you're probably already there RIGHT NOW! I'm super jealous but looking forward to your new TR.

Thank you SO MUCH for sharing your adventure with us! Your photos are gorgeous, and I loved vacationing vicariously through you. I hope that you're having an absolutely incredible time on your big birthday trip right now... Looking forward to hearing all about it when you get back!!! :cutie:

Hey Jen! I kind of dropped the ball on commenting on your TR....but I just wanted to let you know that I DID follow along with the whole thing and I really enjoyed it! Sounds like you guys had a really fun trip! Looking forward to your next TR, I promise I'll try to do better at commenting next time!! :)

I honestly think the PP wanted those other people behind us to wait as long as possible, because she took a long time with us!
:rotfl2: Probably - have to teach those folks a lesson! We've encountered those types before too that don't pay attention to Photopass lines.

Glad you had a great meal at Crystal Palace AND met Eeyore! :eeyore:

I found a shady place to sit and wait for Brandon, and he finally showed up, soaking wet, because he was hot, so on the way over to find me, he went in the splash thing with all the kids! He said he just walked right through and purposely got soaked! I'm sure it feels great when you do it, but I hate walking around in wet clothes, so there was no way I was doing that!
Haha, he really was feeling like a kid. How did he like Barnstormer?

Finally it was my turn, and I was SO happy to meet my Marie!
Yay, so happy you were able to track her down! I wish we'd had time to meet her on our trip - I'm sure Izzy would love her!

Wow, you can now claim to be part of the Amazing Disney Duckling Rescue! :rotfl:

I hoping we get a few sunsets like that this weekend!
Hope you did! Gorgeous!

So glad that CM told the people they couldn't get in front of you. I swear some people are just so dang entitled and it drives me crazy.

Hahahahah, thank you for calling it 'the puffed.' :lmao: HOORAY for finally meeting Eeyore!!

Omg I was so concerned about Marie for a second. She's too cute to not be meeting!

Love that Dooney! I have the Disneyland version in a wallet but now I want something in the WDW pattern too! Curses! Can't afford that. Hahahahah. And I agree, that's such a great placement.

I love how much people were concerned about the duck family! That's precious.

SIGH, goodbye Epcot. :( I'm glad you got your birthday dream trip! I hope it's been fantastic!! And hey if ya feel like coming back in early November... ;) Great TR, as usual! I hope you do another!!!
