add me in the pity party...I don't get to go to Disney this weekend and I was rejected by Disney for the mom's panel.:sad2: I think my only having a preteen and teen is what got me...but that's okay....all my friends IRL think I am the smartest Disneyphile...to bad they aren't paying for me to go to Disney any time soon. ;)

Welcome to the party! I am sorry you get to attend.:guilty:
I am telling you, of the girls who have made it to round 2 NONE of them have very many DIS posts. I think the highest post count I saw was 650. Maybe we are all just too corrupt to be panelists! And of course I don't cry about anything. But Anne Marie has 3 kids and cries at all kinds of Disney stuff and they rejected her, too. It's post count. I am sure of it.;)

My mind went there too, and now I'm thinking Viagra. :rotfl:

I hope everyone who's going to WDW has a wonderful, safe, magical trip! :wizard: Can't wait to see the pictures!

:lmao: :lmao:

You girls are silly!:rotfl:
It really is just like someone knocking on a door. They knock, then they pause, then they knock again, then they pause. But then when they knock 20 times in a row it sounds more like hammering - not louder - just more like hammering than knocking. Maybe they are hammering a bunch of thumb tacks or something. My other thought was that at one point there was a little kid next door. I *thought* he moved out, but maybe not. It's possible the little kid is waking up and kicking the wall without anybody in his own apartment noticing.:confused3

It's been fun reading all your theories :lmao: So here is mine and this one is from experience. We lived in an apartment with an upstairs neighbor before we bought our first house. Her daughter got into a serious car accident and had to move in with them. Along with the daughter came her dog. So what we thought was repeated friskiness on the part of our neighbors turned out to be the dog scratching himself and thumping his paw on the floor. Depending on when he found his happy scratch spot would determine the level of the thump. I bet you neighbors have a dog. :confused3

Hi, everyone! Sorry I haven't posted much since I got back on Sunday. Things happened.

I want to wish all of you heading out a fabulous time!!! I can't wait to hear all about it, and see the pictures!

Alan and I had a wonderful time in New Mexico! We attended the Four Rivers Storytelling Festival. It was amazing!!! They had 4 tents set up, and at intervals throughout the 2 days, different tellers would perform. They even had student tellers from the local schools perform. It was really cool! I got to hear some incredible stories. I really loved Andy Offut-Irwin, and Syd Lieberman! Just amazing!!!! On our last night there, our group got a private tour of the new library in the town. It is AMAZING!!!! The children's reading room is just adorable, with small couches, tables, chairs, etc., all over the place. There is a small room in the children's area for movies, etc., and the doors to the room are hand carved to look like an open book. Painted on the doors are the opening lines from children's books from Charlotte's Web to Harry Potter, to Winnie the Pooh and Peter Pan! Wow! That's all I have to say about it!

We got up early on Sunday morning to make the 8 hour drive home in time for church. We made it with 45 minutes to spare, so we gathered our children, and tossed them into church clothes and made it on time!!! Alan's brother invited us to their house for dinner that night which was wonderful, since I didn't have anything planned.

While we were there, we found out that there had been a death in Alan's family. His cousin's family had gone to Lake Powell for a last summer blowout before the temps really start to drop, and they were having a great time. Their 3 year old, Kamberlie, was playing on the dock with her 6 year old brother, and he turned his back on her for a minute and when he looked again, she had disappeared. He figured she had just jumped on board their boat which was tied up at the dock, so he wandered back to camp. When evening came, and no one knew where Kamberlie was, the rescuers were called in. They searched the camp, no Kamberlie. They did what they could in the water with night falling, but couldn't find her. On Saturday morning, they began dragging the lake, and found her body. It has just about destroyed this family! Over the last year and a half, Kamberlie lost her great-grandmother, and her grandmother, and now Kamberlie! The family is just devastated!

Anyway, the viewing was last night, so Alan and I went to pay our respects. For what it was, it was a nice evening. However, I just cannot get the image of that tiny pink casket out of my mind! I just don't know how you get over something like that. So, I've been in a bit of a funk about that.

I have read everything posted since I left (I have to read everything), but I don't remember much. I'm thinking about all of you, and have missed you all like crazy! I so wish that I was going to WDW this weekend! I really need a happy place right now!

I can't imagine losing a child. I certainly understand the funk that your in. Give your kids an extra hug from me :wizard:

No. But that's because I have heard the noise.:) But I bet you anything the leasing office thinks the same thing as all of you!:scared1:

OK, so now there are no more reasons for Virginia to stay in there!

Glynis, that is HORRIBLE!:sad1: I hope the family can find some peace. DH's cousin had a child drown in the swimming pool, but that was before I met DH. So sad.

Princess has had an interesting (in a bad way) afternoon.:scared: I have never seen this in a child before, only in a cat. She was so constipated it was making her vomit, and the vomit wasn't just coming out her mouth - it was shooting out her NOSE!:scared1: I called her Dr. and they STILL haven't called me back. I called Momboss, who said to give Princess prune juice. I did, and she barfed it all over the rug. Good thing Momboss wants to have the rugs cleaned! We just talked about that the other day. Finally after 3 shirts and 2 towels and lots and lots of ICK she managed to do her "business" and now she seems fine.:upsidedow

Buy the girl some miralax, it is available without a prescription and mixes easily with any fluid. It is tasteless and does wonders for kids that have problems pooping. 2 of my boys have used it from time to time. It really is a miracle.

Emma wants to be Felicity Merriman (American Girl) for her school parade, they are encouraged to be story book characters, but that is way more that I would be able to handle http://store.americangirl.com/images/ECO_main_1.jpg

Molly was a cat last year. Black sweats and a $7 ear/tail set from Target and we were set!!! That's more my speed!

Yes... the school strongly suggested storybook characters for Leighanna too. That is why she is wearing her Alice costume to the parade. One less item I will have to list on you know where!

Leighanna's cat costume sounds exactly like Molly's. I think having two cats in the house is rubbing off on her somehow!

Keep your fingers crossed.

I was thinking of you today. My cousin was due last week and still hasn't had her baby. She had a sono to check the baby's weight and they told her that the baby is about 9lbs 14oz. Do you know how accurate the sono is for weight?

and I thought Cassidy was bad at 8lb 10 oz!!!!

eRewards surveys what are these. I have a randalls card that I earn American airline miles on but I think it will take me forever to earn enough points. If you can get a referral credits for them PM it to me.

This is different. I get miles when I shop at Tom Thumb - same store, different name. I am pretty sure I got into this through an e-mail from Borders. I signed up, but then I got confused on what sort of things you could redeem points on. It looked like the participating redemption sponsors were all places I don't shop, so I kept deleting the surveys. I will look at the site and see if it says anyting about referring friends.

We have the Pirate Ducky I would love the Haunted Mansion one. We also have the Splash Mountain and Sorcerer one.....other than those three....I would love any of them!!!

I think there is a Space Mtn. duck, too.

I have to say that would be a HARD choice for me. I thought I was going to die before DS came out. BUT it was an induction due to pre-eclampsia so I had to stay in the bed with a fetal monitor (the internal one, because the belt kept sliding off), my epidural was all wonky and I was in tremendous pain, DS's head was nowhere near the birth canal when we started, and my water broke very early in the process. I have heard it is more painful to labor after the water breaks. And then there was the pitocin. It was just ugly all the way around.

BUT I can't stand to be splashed with water. I am pretty sure I would hate white water rafting from multiple angles, not just the splashing.

I don't know which one I would hate more!:scared1:

I was induced with all 3 of mine. Emma was by far the easiest. The epidural with Molly only worked on my left side and all I can remember is them trying to pull my right leg up and if felt as if they were ripping it off. With Lucy she didn't descend until I pushed her out! I honestly think she would have stayed another month or two. And to top it off my OB wasn't there, in fact, no one caught her. Thank god the bed wasn't broken down or Lucy would have been dangling! The pitocin is supposed to make your contractions much more painful. They were horrible with Molly. I'd never heard about the water/labor relation but I hated having mine broken. :scared:

Deb - You know, a dog could very well make a thumping noise like that. DH was just reminding me this afternoon that one of our old cats, Alley, would sit up on her hind legs and pound on the door if we shut her out of the bedroom or in the closet or something. I don't think she pounded loud enough for someone else to hear it, but I can see how the noise could be pet related. I don't know who lives on the other side of that wall now, so they could have a dog.

It amazes me that Halloween at school is so difficult. We just got to be what ever we wanted to be and had a party and a parade. Emma's school does a Laser Light show and the parade around the school fields. They were talking about the Laser show at the PTA meeting and they said that the kids loved it but there are some kids who can't watch it due to medical reasons so those poor kids get the raw end of the deal.

and I thought Cassidy was bad at 8lb 10 oz!!!!

Emma was 8lbs 12oz!

I was gone 3 hrs and I gotta say you ladies (and gentleman!!) are very good at posting nonsense!!:lmao:

I am so very proud of all of you!!!:goodvibes :rotfl2:

It's been fun...we need to keep this up through the weekend.

I need to get myself to bed. If Lucy wakes up I'll be paying for it in the am. Night all!!!

The idiotic PTO last year did a horrible thing...they brought in a story teller that wasn't very good and then did ice cream sundaes(which half the kids couldn't eat) no in class party, no dressing up, no parade...I was so furious...they were letting a couple of people (5 total of 450 kids) decide what was best for the school and then they had the audacity to say it was a big hit...NOT ONE KID PAST 2nd grade said anything positive (and the younger ones did say anything) about the whole thing...not even the teachers.

I am so glad to be in Middle school...no costumes or parties.
