We arrived in Nassau bright and early.
After a lovely breakfast we went and joined the group who were going on the same tour as us, Ardastra Gardens and City Tour. There were two mini buses to take us on our tour we had a good driver / guide who knew a great deal and was very informative. First we went to the gardens there were animals and flowers just a normal little zoo really no big animals birds, wild cats, a couple of leopards and some flamingos who marched about,
it just filled in an hour or two. We then went to Fort Fincastle and the water tower the view was excellent some of our tour group wouldnt get off the mini bus as there were stalls and people selling things I think they felt a bit intimidated.
We then walked down and Queens Staircase which was really amazing it had been carved by hand by slaves
After our tour which lasted longer than we thought we returned to the ship.
In the background you can see the Atlantis Resort.
As it was late we decided not to have lunch just waited until our evening meal had a few chocolates( couldnt waste them could I)
That night our meal was in Tritons a bit more formal than Parrot Cay. We had all Americans at our table and at least we could hear the conversation that night as it was much quieter (Michael is a bit deaf and couldnt hear any of the conversation the night before.) After another lovely meal we had a walk around the deck and watched some of the Pirates in the Carribbean party and the fireworks .
We then returned to our Stateroom and had some Champagne. Tomorrow Castaway Cay
