I couldn't get past--once covered by a rain forest or jungle. Must have been some weed whacker they used!
I would think that someone just had access to a simple machine: The chisel.
I really don't know--but it is truly amazing what was produced so long ago when I can't do much more than make stick figures.
kaytieeldr: I got burned once when football was over an hour late. We now do 2 hours--most of the time I am home to adjust it if it is even longer than that.
I know the guys who used 4 buckets for water had a 15 minute penalty. They didn't even edit any teams in to make it suspenseful as I think they may have still been counting. The second team (snowboarders) checked in and got 1st and won a really cool trip and then told the guys they owed them one and if they ever needed snowboards, they would hook them up. Then immediately they cut to checking in the father and son. Then back at at the task--the husband and wife team that was last--of course did not remember, but somehow figured things out before everyone else. They came in 5th. I think it was because they sent off their cab and other people had to go and pay their driver before heading to the pit stop on the grounds.
I think he was also helped again because the other teams told him the answer (which is still bugging me that there are alliances...I think they are trying to lose the old couple because I think he was working solo and no one was helping him with answers...IIRC.)
Marcus and Amani were just getting to the temple when the Snowboarders were leaving. The snowboarders did show Amani the 4 different hand positions and their counts, but she isn't the one who actually did the roadblock, Marcus did it. In their interviews, she stated that by the time they had gotten to where the cluebox was, she was wiped out and had pretty much forgotten what the guys had told her. And Marcus stated that he hadn't paid very close attention to what they said. He could remember some of what they said, but not enough to get the clue outta the box and walk up to the guy and tell him the correct answer. He actually had to do the roadblock and actually worked with one of the Vegas girls to get the answers. Yes, he did start to recall what the info was, but it wasn't anything close to some the blantant examples of giving the correct answer and not doing the task to get the answer. He worked with the girls, until they both had the correct answers. The difference in their placement, all came down to Vegas had to settle up their cab and Marcus and Amani didn't.
That is all I remember. I don't have a clue the order of the check ins except for what I posted.
