Monday....Epcot, really crowded. By early afternoon all fast passes for Soarin' and Test track were gone.....wait times into 90 minutes. DD's wanted to go on TT. It was our last day, we didn't care....put them on single rider line only 25 minute wait. My parents, 70 yr old, were leaning against the closed fast pass machine. My dad, never meets a stranger. Started talking to an older gentleman with a test track uniform on.....the next thing we know, we are going in the exit to the front of the line to ride TT.....Then when the ride finishes and we are still in our "car" he says, unbuckle and re-buckle, you are going again!!!

So, we rode TT twice while my dd's waited in line to ride once :rotfl2:
Boy, were my dd's mad :rotfl:

Has that every happened to anyone??

Not me (we had to wait in line with the other peons ;) ) but what a great memory!!

:cool1: :thumbsup2

Not on TT, but I was approached by a POTC CM in August. He was asking questions about my camera. He got notice to go to lunch and he walked DH and I in the back door and to the front of the POTC line.

That's AWESOME!!! My mom loved this story...I always make fun of her cuz she talks to EVERYONE too! And she said "SEEEEEE. Good things can happen talking to all those people!!!"

The Year of a Million Dreams...

thats the kind of stuff I used to always here about, glad some CM's still go out of their way to make a magical memory

We were approaching Splash Mountain last December. I wasn't sure DD5 wanted to ride it, but a CM approached us and said "Follow me". He never really said a word after that but we followed him in the back way, got stickers for the girls, and were taken to the front of the line. DD had no choice! :lmao:

I'm not sure she will go on it again- I think it's more the loud music and animatronics than the drop she's scared of!

that's awesome! Great story! We never had anything like that happen to us (yet!) but we love talking to people so maybe some day!

When I was at the MK in January, I was there for a conference with a few other people from my university. Well we were all wearing a "I Love ONU" shirt. This guy passed us, and was like what does ONU mean... and we told him the name of our university and he was like no way! I graduated from there. He was careful in asking because he didn't want to get his hopes up. I go to a small (4000 student) private Christian university. He took us to the VIP room for Space Mountain, and then took us to the front of the line after he told us some fun disney stuff.

VERY, VERY, NEAT. It is neat to hear about special things that happen. Glad to hear the cast members are allowed to do more, and are looking for the opportunity to use their special powers.

A YOAMD moment thast wasn't classified as such. How cool is that?

Sad for the DD's but at least they got to ride it.

On the Great Movie Ride, we had a similar experience. I have no idea how long the actual lines were, but a CM started talking to my DH outside the theatre, had noticed my DH's USMC shirt and was thanking him for service, etc when he said we had earned the right to something special.. took us to the back/side of the theatre and escorted us without any wait onto the ride!

This summer I was waiting for my husband and older kids at the exit of BTMR. The castmember working the exit asked if I wanted to ride with my kids when they got off. She put us in the front of the train and let us ride twice.

my fiance and my sister went on rockin' rollercoaster, and when they got off the ride and saw how funny the photo was my fiance went to buy it. The CM who was helping him out had a town not far from where we live on his name tag. :goodvibes They got to talking, and the next thing the CM does, he walked out to the merchandise, puts on a big fluffy boa, and a tall funny hat, and a big pair of sunglasses :scared: and tells my fiance and sister to come with him...he takes them in the back way to the ride, tells another CM that they need to go on immediately...front row. so they got to ride again! :thumbsup2 what was funny was while my mother and I were waiting for them, my mom didnt catch on to what was going on, she just saw the CM get dressed up and say come with me to them....so she said to the CM, "whats going on?" he told her they were in trouble for making an obscene gesture in the photo (*which they did not) he was just teasing my mother... she was so embarrassed :scared1: ...so when then they got off the ride for the second time...he was at the exit with the photos. And my mom said,"i thought they ruined the picture?" the CM said, "nah, i just needed some time to get the pictures ready for them." and he didn't charge us! I couldn't believe how nice he was! :cloud9: :yay:

We had a similar experience at TT back in 2002. My then 12 yo DD and I were standing in the middle of the plaza in front of the ride... we were having a "lively" discussion... we had a dilema. We had a ressie for dinner that was coming up fast, and we would miss it if we waited in line for TT. I was trying to convice her to go through the single rider line with me, knowing that we might be separated. She did NOT like that idea...

Then out of nowhere, this young gentleman showed up and said follow me... and off we went, backstage and to the head of the line! Way cool!

Basically I had this happen on Everest this year during EMH. The park was literally waiting to close & after getting off & getting back on 5 times, the CM stops me & she says go see Eric(I believe that was his name) again. He asked if I was getting tired of the ride, of course I said no & he said then just keep in that seat & he let me go twice before I got back off & got back on again. I saw him on my last ride before leaving AK that night & he smiled after I told him thanks before my train left the station.

Last year's trip, the CM at Star Tours led me & my Star Wars fanatic friend through the back entrance to the ride & we walked right on.

YES! This happened to us.

We had thress sets of fastpasses (2 sets were due to problems earlier in the day at another ride) but we were just too hot and tired to use them, so decided to sprinkle pixie dust on other guests and handed them out. DS was a bit upset because he wanted to ride TT twice. Anyway we went ahead and used the set of fastpasses we did keep and went to ride TT.

When we finished the ride, a CM told us to unbuckle and buckle...so we did and he explained we were going on it again. so, off we went for another trip. when we got off after the 2nd ride, the CM was waiting for us..we thanked him and told him it was our son's favorite ride. He then took us UPSTAIRS to see all the computers and some of the backstage areas..pretty cool. Then he took us down the stairs and put us on the ride AGAIN! Apparently, a CM who saw us handing out the fastpasses and heard my son, radioed ahead to a buddy and told him about us and asked to give us a "special ride"..I think it was one of the best Magical Moments of our trip.

We had a Dream Team member take us in to POTC and The Jungle Cruise w/out waiting in line on our trip back in August.:goodvibes
