Taking Little Miss to Meet the Mouse! ~ A May 2015 PTR ~ Trip Report Link Posted!!

You are doing awesome with all of the clothes on consignment. I adore those t-shirts. And how sweet of DD on the Ariel shirt.

Nice job on the bows (I wish I could wear bows but my hair is so baby fine that it has never held them).

Thank you! Now if only I could find a swimsuit. Maybe at the next 2 sales.

I have trouble with bows as well generally but I have found that if I put it right above the hairband. It seems to stay better.

Kudos to you! The clothes are adorable! And you must be so happy and proud of your daughter - to be so grateful and appreciative at her age really says a lot about your parenting. :thumbsup2 The bows are amazing, too!!!

Thank you for such kind words. I am indeed quite proud of her.

You did amazing at your consignment sale! The one in our town isn't until the first week of March and the selection really thins out as the kids get in bigger sizes. The girls don't get nearly as much as they used too (now in sizes 10 and 12).

I just saw King cakes out at our grocery store on Tuesday. That was a great idea for Princess and the Frog!

I used THIS SITE to track down a bunch of sales closest to me. The year I did that I made note of the good ones and only the ones I see as the top 4 stay on my radar. You should poke around there may be other sales you weren't aware of. I am glad you were able to use the king cake idea! I just knew we didn't want to try to make our own beignets.

The bows are so cute! I saw those bows at Michael's today and was considering grabbing one for myself! :rotfl2:They also had ones like that but instead of the Anna/Elsa ribbon it was a blue ribbon with Olafs on it. If there'd been a Sven bow I would've been sold!

Exciting to see the Disney training coming along, and your DD is just so cute!

Hi, just finally took some time to read through your PTR...

Ok, here it goes. I'm glad you decided to stay on Disney property. I wouldn't ever hesitate to stay at US if I'm going to one of those parks, but I just don't think that would be ideal if you're doing a Disney focused trip. Clearly, you saw it the same way. Universal parks just aren't very good for kids that age either. We took DS just before he turned 3 and there was very little he could do. Even the minion ride has a height restriction and he couldn't do it.

I love your family movie nights, endurance training and Disney training experiences.

Great job on the Lambie situation. :thumbsup2

DH and I just are not comfortable leaving Little Miss to sleep in the main room where the door is by herself
I never even considered this to be an issue until we got a scare one night. The Royal Rooms are very nice, so that might be the best thing for you anyway.

So Dis Mommies Which would you go with and any suggestions on making it easier to spot in the crowd?
Ok... not a mommy. But I spent a lot of time pushing our stroller. I'm going to go against the popular advice and say to go with the jogging stroller. Maneuverability is key. We use one and have a hook on the handle for our park bag. Ours is clearly a pain to fold and carry on transportation, but I'll deal with that a few times a day in exchange for having something easier and more comfortable to push through the parks.

As for making it stand out... battery powered LED's on the handle.

:wave2: Hi there!:welcome: Thanks for joining in!

Frankly I am as well. And its not just the little that have issues at universal. WIth my motion sick issues I can't do much there anyways.

I love your family movie nights, endurance training and Disney training experiences.

Thanks! I hope that it all helps in the end.

Haha thanks! That definatly will be a story for the future. We still laugh about it now. :lmao:

Yikes! Glad it was only a scare. Frankly if I'm being honest, the Royal room is as much a splurge for me as it is practical. I'm just a smidge excited to be able to stay in one!:hyper:

Thats okay Dis Daddies are just as helpful! And now you understand the waffling. I haven't thought to try hanging the park bag on a hook I might have to see if that will work.

As for making it stand out... battery powered LED's on the handle.

Now THERES an idea!!! :thumbsup2

Park Plans- Park Day 1

So with FP+ day fast approaching (HOW IS IT ALMOST MARCH ALREADY?!?) I'm getting around to finalizing the first draft of my itineraries. I have things scheduled on paper by the minute for the mornings to time things out and make sure we have a realistic schedule. Once we are there we will use Evernote and DH’s Pebble Watch and go off a simple check list with alarms set for the important stuff. I have been using EasyWDW’s cheat sheets and youtube ride POVs for timing. If any of you see flaws in my plans please call them out.

You will also note that the first draft of my plans has us Meeting Anna and Elsa every single MK day we have. This is to improve our chances of getting in to see them. Once I have FP+ locked in IF I end up with more than one slot I’ll release the unnecessary ones closer to.

So with all that said here is the itinerary for our first park day which is 5/7 for those that will be there about the same time we will:

FP+ at:
7dmt or Winnie The Pooh

Enchanted Tales with Belle

Anna & Elsa or Tomorrowland Speedway
1. Meet Mickey in Town Square Theater: 8am – 8:15am

2. Ride Peter Pan’s Flight: 8:18am – 8:30am

3. Ride It’s a Small World: 8:32am – 8:53am

4. Meet Ariel at Ariel’s Grotto: 9:00am – 9:15am

5. Ride Journey of the Little Mermaid: 9:17am – 9:35am

7. Potty and Snack Break @ Gaston’s Tavern: 9:35am – 10:00am

8. Meet Gaston outside Gaston’s Tavern: 10:07am – 10:15am

9. Meet Daisy and Minnie at Pete’s Silly Sideshow: 10:20am – 10:30am

10. Meet Donald and Goofy at Pete’s Silly Sideshow: 10:31am – 10:40am

11. Ride The Barnstormer: 10:42am – 10:55am

12. Ride Dumbo the Flying Elephant: 11am – 11:20am

13. Ride 7D Mine Train with FP+: 11:25am – 11:40am

14. Have lunch. Pinocchio Village Haus is closest. Cosmic Ray’s is nearby.

15. Experience Enchanted Tales with Belle with FastPass+: 12:40pm – 1:10pm

16. Meet Anna and Elsa in Princess Fairytale Hall W/ FP+: 1:15pm – 1:35pm

17. Ride WDW Railroad full loop from Main Street

18. Leave Park for Afternoon Break

19. Stop at Concierge schedule 4th FP+ for Epcot

We will spend a few hours having quiet time in our room and then we will plan on Arriving at Epcot about 6pm for our Evening. Hopefully we will have scored a 4th FP+ before break. If we don't score a FP+ for Epcot then it won't be a huge deal. DH might take a run on Sum of all thrills and we might take a spin on Spaceship Earth and/or Figment, but the main focus will be exploring the food booths and getting a bit of dinner. the Dinner will be somewhere around the WS. We don't plan on staying for Illuminations this night.

Wow... detailed plans!

Looks like a good strategy. I always hate to plan it down to the minute or anything, because it never fails to go haywire for some reason or another. Especially with the kids in tow. But I think it looks like a good solid plan to start.

Good luck with A&E.

Those are some detailed plans. WOW!

We will be in the MK that day too and I hope we will have a chane to say hello.

Good luck on the Anna & Elsa FP+ selection.

I'm mainly using it as a general time frame. Last trip with just DH we didn't plan and then ended up wasting a lot of time and energy backtracking and arriving to things early because I was unsure how much time we would need to allow. With a toddler in tow being confident in my timing ahead of time will allow me to relax and just follow the agenda without really following the clock. The alarms on DH's watch will help us not miss the important stuff. Other then that I'm not dead set on the plans. As long as they don't seem over ambitious to achieve before 2ish without constant running then we're good. This day was fairly easy because I didn't have to alter EasyWDW's cheat sheet much. Its the days where the cheat sheets weren't as helpful where things get tricky And y'alls input gets important.

If Little Miss wasn't so attached to Anna and Elsa I wouldn't even bother. But with 4 opportunities to book stretched over 10 days The odds should be somewhat in my favor. (I hope)

We will definately have to see if we can make a hello happen! How fun!

I think you have a very reasonable plan. It is pretty much all in Fantasyland, so your walking should be minimal. Good job!

Your plan for the day look very detailed but also doable as most of the attractions are in one area and not spread out over the park.

Good luck with A&E fast pass + selection.

This day was the easy day to plan out. It was the one day that required minimal tweaking from EasyWDW's cheatsheet plans.

Good luck with A&E fast pass + selection.

Glad to see others think the plan is doable. When I first saw it it seemed like a lot to accomplish in one morning.
