Just curious, what is the lowest rate you paid per night at the Swan or Dolphin recently. How did you get that rate?

I just booked for 129.00 for end of Sept and just had to ask for it. From what I here is that they are running a special till end of Sept. It also includes a one room upgrade to Lake View.

Discounts vary for the Swan/Dolphin - Starwood Corp owns them.

I know there are discounts rates (maybe some black out dates) for
Government employees
Military
Nurses
Teachers
Annual Pass ticket holders
AAA members
AARP members

Call and ask if you qualify for a discount and the dates you wish.
It is great location for a non-WDW resort. Uses the same boats to EPCOT and MGM Studios which the Y/BC & Boardwalk uses. You can easily also walk to EPCOT and Fantasia mini-golf. The Swan/Doplhin also uses WDW bus transportation - same as other WDW resorts.

You get Heavenly Beds - but no Mickey soaps. The are no DDE discounts at their restaurants - but they do have character meals on Sundays. Plus you can easily eat anywhere on WDW property and get the DDE discount.

They have a desk for WDW information as well as a Starwood members desk.
You can earn Starwood points for stating at the Swan/Dolphin.

Was that for 2006? I thought $129 was the lowest rate possible.
