sunscreen stick in carryon?

We're leaving tomorrow! Yay! I know that all of my liquid, gels, and lotions need to be packed in the checked luggage. Does anybody know if a sunscreen stick can go in a carryon bag? It's the same consistency as chapstick, but I'm not even sure if that can go in carryon.

Fine in a carryon, does NOT need to be in 3-1-1 baggie.

Rule of thumb on toiletries re: the 3-1-1 baggie is that if the substance would still keep its shape without its container, then it does not need to be in the baggie. That means that wax-stick things are fine.

thank you! my kids are used to having a 50 sunscreen on, and I was worried that I wouldn't have anything to put on them when we get there while we wait for the luggage to arrive.
