 ok keep it a clean post :)

What do you suggest for adults after
10:30PM on the cruise ship?

We all know there is no casino.

We think that an adult comedy routine
type act (s) like a comedy club
ADULTS ONLY would be very good
with maybe different music clubs after
a certain hour until 1 or 2?

50's - 60's in one (not just one night)
they should still keep that show in
the lounge and have the cast dress up
but we are thinking each night once
that ends......

80's to ????

Maybe even a MIDNIGHT BINGO???? Nice Jackpot
at the end of the sailing!!

Or a MIDNIGHT BUFFET would be cool!!!!

Just something else for the adults.

If you have families onboard, yes, we all
go back and call it a night. BUT, there
are soooooooo many friends of ours that
are not married and do not have kids and
want to stay out late.........

What do you think???

I'd just be happy to be able to stay up that late. (sorry - kind of in a silly mood today).

On our cruise we did the following at night - 1st night, dueling pianos then Wave Bands.

2nd night - sail away party from Nassau

3rd night - enjoyed the decks after dinner then Wave Bands.

4th night - Palo, late show, packing :-( then Wave Bands.

There did not seem to be enough time for everything.

Disney already has much of what you suggested....on the 7 day cruise they have 3 theme nights in the clubs....70's, 80's and 60's. They also have British Pub night. All of the above last until about midnight.

They also have a D.J. that plays until 1:00 or 2:00 am in Rockin Bar D.
They have match your mate game that is hilarious and that starts at about 11:00 or so.

On thursdays they usually have a late night dessert buffet in Lumiere's....this starts at about 11:00 or so.

They have lots to do but I agree that there should be more things later in the evening.

DCL used to have a Comedy Club onboard but they did away with it.

There's the "adult" cabarette show that usually starts at 10:15 or 10:30 and lasts for 30-45 minutes. There's usually something fun going on over in the family club - Studio Sea where adults without kids would not be out of place.

DCL used to have a Comedy Club onboard but they did away with it.
On our first cruise I didn't make it to the comedy club in Off Beat (wish I had). Then Off Beat became the venue for Dueling Pianos (Fidelio was great - but how fun it was depended upon the engergy in the club and I've seen it dull and boring and other time a hoppin' happenin' place) and now it's called Diversions - a "Brittish style" sports pub (will experience that in about 3 months).

As early risers, we rarely see past 11.pm! We always stroll around the deck after dinner, but not at any great speed! We attempted 3 movies, 2 of which I didnt see more than 3rd of - just couldnt keep eyes open.Must be all that fresh air! Nat:Pinkbounc

Don't forget about the pool and hot tubs. Who knows you may have them all to yourself. Have fun.

One night on our 12-27-03 Eastern they had a third, 10:30 pm performance of The Golden Mickeys.
They should do that will all the shows.
This goes to my complaint that the shows for late seating should be AFTER dinner like other cruise lines do, not before.
We pick Late Seating for two reasons:
1) So we don't have to hurry to dinner, and then can relax afterward at the show.
2) We're West Coasters with two kids, DW works 8:30 to 5:30 so we rarely sit down to dinner at home before 7pm, so Late Seating on the East Coast is like eating an hour and a half early anyway.

I would have liked to see an adults only deck party, or something along those lines. Maybe move one of the decades nights out on to deck. Or maybe an adults-only late dinner + show/act in a restaurant. Although that would be a scheduling nightmare I'm sure.

I can't get enough of the ship and can't go to bed early. I would like some adult comedy, shows or whatever. Keep me going after 10:30pm. I'll sleep when the cruise is over.:hyper:

We really think that more ADULT entertainment
is needed on both ships.

I am sure that the Magic being a 7 day ship might
have more to offer, but, even though they have
a 50s night, 60s night, 70s night etc etc etc those
are great and yes, personally all is fine but the
70's night (not into that disco era LOL) but the
rest is good.

We do not want them to change any of that, the
castmembers are great and we love those nights,
we just feel there is so much more that can be
added.

Been on some other cruise lines and alot of the
DCL associates have come from other cruise lines
and they know just what we are referring to.......
Its just getting them to do it, sometimes the Disney
associates that have NEVER worked for another
cruise line clash with the associates that have
worked the other cruise lines and the 2 just do not
hit it off to much..........It drives me crazy!!!

Disney has such potential to bring in additional
markets (maybe they do not want them???) but
you got me.

Another DCL guest was concerned about the bars
and show lounges being non smoking areas???

Not sure on that one.......from my understanding
there are smoking designated areas and we were
under the assumption that there was no smoking
in the dining rooms & lounges are smoke free from
what I was told.

What do think?

Dana :)

Smoking is allowed in the lounges after 9 pm.
We planned this as a family vacation, so we never planned to do to the lounges at night, but the smoking would have kept us out.
