Stumped for what to do in Grand Cayman - Help!

First-time cruiser traveling with DS (7), DD (5), DH (40) and my mom (68). Kids aren't ready for Stingray City or dolphin excursion, so considering the Family Tiki Beach Day or Rum Point through Disney or doing a Crystal Caves tour, renting cabana at Royal Palms beach club or day pass to the Westin on our own. Has anyone done any of these excursions recently? Would you recommend? Is spending money at Royal Palms or Westin worth it? (I know the pool at Royal Palms is adult-only which is a bummer).

THANKS!

You can not go wrong with just a Beach Day! The Cayman Islands have some of the most beautiful waters of the entire Caribbean. The waters of GC should not be missed. Good Luck.

Oh, we snorkeled last time we were there. But, my boys are older. Super fun and beautiful.

I also spent my honeymoon in GC.

We've vacationed in GC a couple times, and when we ported there last year we rented a cabana at Royal Palm and were super happy we spent that $100. It was so much better than being further up closer to the water.

Looks like the beach day would be best in your case. The stingray excursion was amazing.. but I wouldn't have done it with ur little ones.
Have a great trip

My kids are too young/inexperienced to snorkel, but I want them to see some ocean life, so we are planning to do one of the submarine or semi-submarine excursions - still deciding between the Nautilus or the Atlantis one. Also, our pasty white selves can't do too many beach days in a row, so this will help us break it up. :)

I'd take them to the turtle farm. Start out picking up baby sea turtles from their tanks. Then go explore the rest of the farm. We had done some your Cayman island with a stop there at the farm. The farm fun the rest of the tour not so much so just take a cab directly there

Our excursion didn't include the rest of the farm, I had seen signs for an aviary but was stopped because I didn't have the right wristband so definitely going back to check it out

One year we did a low key duck boat that did a tour of the island, then into the water where we fed some fish crackers. Then when we got back just went to the Margaritaville and had some drinks and relaxed.

Another time we did the shipwreck reef snorkel.

Had a blast both times, totally different.I don't think you can really go wrong with anything you choose on GC. Did the nautilus boat at another port and was also fun(kind if like a real life nemo ride)

There are so many other things to do there. What about these things?

These might be pushing it for little ones but....

Did Stingray city a few years ago and there were children there. We did a private small tour with these people:https://www.sotoscruises.com/
They were especially great with the kids and half the price of the other tours.

We did a beach day (by default after our Stingray City excursion got cancelled) and had a wonderful, relaxing day!

Our kids loved the Turtle Farm at that age. You probably have plenty of time to do two different excursions that day. One thing you could do is get a cab to take you to the Turtle farm spend a few hours there, and then have a cab take you over to a beach.

We rented a cabana at Royal Palms this past March. It was one of our favorite days! The sand was so soft like baby powder and having someone bring us food and drinks all day was heavenly! Grabbing a cab there and back was super easy!

We're going with a 6-year old and will probably do the turtle farm. That or the pirate ship. None of us have ever snorkeled and neither DH nor I like beach days.

Our family did the Dolphin swim and Stingray City tour last Tuesday. We loved it. Even my really skittish 8 year old had fun swimming with the dolphins and being with the stingrays. Only note I would pass along is that there is no lunch included and you only have a short time to grab a snack at the dolphin cove place. Be advised though that pictures are really pricey and can run well over $100.
