That picture is cute!!
I think my friend and I caused the strangest sight ever in our street, but there was a good explanation for it. We are in a theatre company and we were doing Half a Sixpence. The opening scene required a cat. For the past 3 performances the lead who had to handle the cat had brought his, but by the 4th show the cat figured it was going to be caputured and taken to the theatre so it decided not to come home!! So knowing that I owned a very friendly cat that was confident around a lot of people I was asked to go home and get my cat. I knew he was not in the house, but that he would either be in the conservatory or out the front of the house in the street. The only problem with this was the fact that my friend and I were in costume ready to go on stage (complete period costume with make up and wig!!) My cat wasn't in the conservatory but I saw him in the street, so my friend and I in our full costume, cat basket in hand was slowly walking down the street, yelling my cats name (Cheeky!!) trying to get my cat and put him in the basket!!!! Now because we were shouting "Cheeky" quite loudly and the fact that there were 2 women wondering down the street in period costume with wigs caused a few people to look out of their windows!! After a few minutes we did manage it, got back to the theatre 5 minutes before curtain up and my cat went on stage. He did so well, he completly stood up the lead man. The lead man was holding him as the curtain opened, my cat saw the audience, purred very loudly down the lead mans microphone much to the audiences delight!!
So there you go, I think I can safely say that you would not see that in your street every day!!
