We are statying offsite but are close to the entry of AKL. We have a down day today before travelling and thought we would visit some resorts. Can we park at AKL and use Disney transport shuttles to visit the other resorts. Does anyone have a tour plan for this type of thing. How much will parking cost at AKL. Thanks

Parking at the resorts is free and allowed for guests with business there, which would include just going there to check it out. But you can't leave your car there and then go elsewhere, whether it would be a theme park or other resorts. Parking at the resorts is guarded and often limited to 3 hours - it's not intended for leaving your car there.

If you have a car, it would be so much quicker anyway, just to drive your car to the next resort you want to visit - much quicker than Disney transportation, in which you would have to transfer at some point in most cases. There is NO resort to resort Disney transportation - it only goes resort to park or DTD.

You can valet park at the resorts, or pay to park at the lots at the parks.

You cannot park for free at a resort longer than three hours and you must have something to do at the resort, like have dining reservations.

If you have an Annual Pass, you can park for free. But other than that, you have to pay to park if you stay offsite. But once you pay for the day, you can move around from park to park without having to pay again. You just show your receipt from the first parking lot of the day.
