Starbucks Coming to Disney Parks

I'm excited, I think it'll be nice to have the option of Starbucks coffee if you want it.

1) I do not understand.
2) WDW puts in crappy hamburger & hot dog buns for "healthy" reasons.
3) Then, they let Starbucks come with a 670 calorie Frapp.
4) What have I missed?

I'm so happy. Disney has terrible coffee. I'd never drink a 600 calorie drink--I just like real espresso. And I don't see the difference between Coke having the cold beverage contract and Starbucks having the coffee contract. Does have Coke in the parks ruin the magic because it's not disney brand coffee??

Wonder how they'll handle the Frappuccinos and Iced Coffee drinks, since they're Pepsi products?

I'M SO EXCITED ABOUT THIS, I CAN HARDLY STAND IT!!!! Nope, I don't normally type in all caps, but I HAD to convey my giddiness  We have suffered through the NesCrappe´ for so long, I am thrilled beyond belief. We don't drink the regular coffee, just the lattes, frapps, & caramel macchiatos. Hoping they're offering all of the usuals. :woohoo:

(I quoted myself from another thread. I'm beyond excited!) :dance3:

That's not why it bothers me... I just hate Starbucks.

:surfweb:

Coming from the mothership of Starbucks (Seattle), I am glad that Disney is listening to the consumers. I will continue to bring my own coffee to the parks as I am not a big fan of the Starbucks product. Fresh ground coffe in a ziplock bag will last the trip and I will save me sweet green. :thumbsup2

Ack, it'd be like seeing a McDonalds open in the park... tacky IMO.

I do recall wishing for a iced coffee one afternoon. I was getting pretty tired and also hot.

If Disney was serving Starbucks coffee at select locations, as opposed to a store/cart stand alone deal, I'd be in favor of it.

As it stands, I'm not pleased with the idea. I do think it could work at Epcot... maybe next to the Waste Management truck or chevy test track... it's a commercialism (via outside names) park already.

Aside from mornign coffee, I want the rest of my day to be Disney unique... I get 3-4 Mocha Fraps a week on warm/hot weeks. I can't imagine getting a single one on a week trip to Disney. Way too much other park specific stuff I want instead.

For breakfast the coffee served by most of the TS locations was acceptable. I don't think I've ever had QS coffee at WDW before. Even at the resort. We were always in a hurry to get to an ADR or something.
