Hi, Do you know which location we should request for Saratoga. We are a family of 4. 2 adults 2 kids ages 15yrs and 10yrs. We would love to be near the food court and the main pool and not too far from DTD. Thanks for your help, Maria

    The springs is the closest.
The grandstand is next closest i think
Congress park is on the water.

If you remember any of this remember this:
stay away, far away from the Paddocks

We love to stay at Congress Park w/a DTD view. You can quickly walk to DTD from there and we didn't find the walk to the main pool that far either. The quiet pools are also quite nice. I'll keep that in mind about the Paddocks!!

We also like CP because it's close to DTD and if you get into a bldg in the beginning of the section you're not too far from the main area. However it's not always so easy to get a requested section there.

Last Oct. I requested CP, The Springs and Grandstand and there was nothing available in any of those sections. We ended up in the Paddocks which wasn't too bad because it was just across from CP so we could walk there quickly to get the bus or walk to DTD. They tried to put us in Carusoel (sorry I can't spell) and that section is far from everything.

I keep meaning to call to make a section request for our Halloween weekend trip, we'll probably end up with something far out, but we do have a car so that helps.

The Grandstand has the first bus stop for pick up, which means you are dropped off first on your way home:)

I thought the Paddock section (building 51, anyway) was well-located. My room faced the quiet pool and bus stop, and the bridge to Carriage house is right behind the pool. Plus, it's not the first bus stop but there is a stop right there behind the pool.

I think you mean Carousel not the Paddocks. Carousel is close to the front of the resort. So if you like a little more quiet, Carousel would be a perfect place to stay.

SSR doesn't really have a food court. Artist's Palette is more like an upscale counter service. If I remember correctly, they don't serve the standard hot dogs and hamburgers there. But they do have panini, wraps, etc.

The Springs will be closest to Artist's Palette and the main pool. Congress Park will be closest to DTD.

Actually, if you ask for a hotdog or a burger they have them and will gladly make it for you:) My husband did this last time we were there. He was so excited when he randomly said out loud "He wished they had hamburgers!" The lady behind the counter said, "We do just for you:)":rotfl:

That's good to know. I've always just read the menu and found something that was good off the menu.

ooo, this is great info! I am staying at SSR in November and I am a burger kinda gal. Nothing else on the menus I have seen looks appetizing to me. I was afraid I would have to walk all the way to DTD for lunch on my first day.
