We often do split stays. Normally, we call Bell Services to pick up our luggage then we take the bus/boat/monorail to our designated park of the day. Mid afteroon (or when we receive a text that our new room is ready) we use Disney transportation to travel to our new hotel. Luggage does not arrive at the new hotel until after 4pm and then you need to be in your room for it to be delivered.
In November, we decided to take a taxi along with all of our luggage since we had plans to attend the
MVMCP that evening. The cost from Boardwalk to Bay Lake Tower was about $15 plus tip. That plan worked out very well also.
