Split Stay - Offsite/DVC and tickets linked to MB?

Hi,
We are going to WDW Nov 9th-17th, staying the first 3 nights at Vistana Villages and the remaining time at Saratoga. We linked our annual passes to our Magic Bands, so I know that we will be able to use the bands to gain entrance into the park starting on Nov 12th. My question is, do we still need to use our old annual park passes to get into the parks prior to the 12th?

I believe you do. We are doing a split stay coming up too, 3 nights at the Dolphin and 6 at BLT. My plan is to bring the passes with me for my stay at the Dolphin and just use MB when I get to BLT

I went to the parks using my Magic Band 2 days before my resort stay started.

You should bring you AP with you though, in case:

1. There is a glitch with the Magic Bands
2. You want to use your AP merchandise discount
