Does Disney allow you to do a split stay as a single package reservation? As in, so you don't have to either do one package + room only reservation, two separate packages (obviously not a wise choice given how much more expensive the park ticket cost would be), or two room-only reservations?

Thanks!

No, it would be separate reservations, each requiring separate deposits. Disney sees it as 2 different reservations rather than a split stay, even if a split is done at the same resort/room type.

Aaarghhh. Why, Disney, why?

Thanks for your help.

Just to let you know, when booking dining if you are doing a split stay you can no longer book for the entire trip when the 180 days for the first resort hits. This year we could only book for the first part of our trip and then had to wait for the 180 days of the second resort to book for the second part of the trip.

If it's not free dining that you're booking, you CAN book a "ticketless package" by calling and asking for that. So you could do your first package with a ticket, then the second package as a ticketless one. Can buy the dining plan, even.

It still won't be one reservation number. It will be two. And your dining plan will stop and restart.

You have to make two separate reservations, but it's really not that complicated. You have a number of options. If you DON'T want the dining plan, simply make your first reservation with your room and tickets for your entire length of stay. Then, make your second reservation room-only.

If you WANT the dining plan, simply make your first reservation with your room, tickets for length of stay and dining plan and your second reservation with room and dining.
