Spirit Airlines in open for December. I needed Ft. Lauderdale to Orlando. It is $54 plus tx. Should I wait for Southwest and not have to pay for bags?

Does Southwest charge for bags?

Does Southwest charge for bags? It is $10 a bag online with Spirit. $54 for the flight....Should I just wait for Southwest?
