So... me and my partner are travelling to Disney Christmas 2016 and so far haven't got a disney dining plan in place. When we go we want to feel comfortable rather than be budgeting everything as we plan to buy lots of gifts/souvenirs... We are attending universal three times during our stay, busch gardens, sea world, discovery cove and all 4 waterparks..

So far we have reservations for the following restaurants:
- Be our guest
- Cinderellas Royal Table
- Crystal Palace
- Cali Grill
- Tusker House
- Boma
- Sci fi diner
- Chef Mickey
- Coral Reef
- Play n Dine
- Liberty Tree Tavern
- Le Cellier
- Narcoosses
- Ohana
- Artist Point
- Storybook Dining
- 50s Prime time cafe

Our question is .... how much spending money would you recommend ? and is it worth getting a disney dining plan??

Any help would be much appreciated ...

Thanks again,
James.

Lots of cool dining there! Time to get your notebook out and all the menus open online! It's difficult to know how much you'll need as you could always be buying one course of salad, or three courses with loads of steak and lobster etc.

To work out spending money to pay cash, you can go through the menus and get an idea of how much you'd spend in each place, don't forget to add tip money too! (c.20% on all food and drinks)

To work out if the DDP will be worth it, you can do the same as above then compare to the daily rate (adding in the same tips as cash you'll need to take)

It's very individual, some people get great value out of DDPs, and some just don't eat enough food to warrant it, and some people take loads of money because they like going all out.

Get the dining plan!!! It's a wonderful feeling to just sit down, order whatever you like, and not look at the prices because it's already paid for. If you like to enjoy a full meal with dessert you can't go wrong. And looking at the list of places you are planning to eat at it would be in your favor, providing you enjoy the dining experience, to use the dining plan. You can't go wrong IMO.

But bear in mind if you spend $300 on a DDP meal, thats $60 in tips

definitely buy dining plan if you are staying onsite

Disney transport while doing Disney and either a rental car or Uber when doing other stuff.
