My biggest question about the new Soarin is whether or not they kept the original score, because it is a CLASSIC!!!! I hope they kept it!!

Report from OP:

We were talking to Patrick by 9:20. In our seats by 9:25. The new film is excellent. Same theme music, but new score to incorporate the different country's style of music.

The Rush was not bad at all. But we got to the main gate at about 8:30. Nine o'clock would have been too late.

We are never rope droppers (usually at the parks by 2:30), so it was kind of cool. It felt like some sort of weird alternate universe. It turns out Epcot has a "good morning" announcement. Who knew???

3 hour wait from the "wait time sign".

FWIW, they posted a 180 minute wait time at 9:15 am last week when we were getting off Legacy Soarin. I think that might be a mechanism they use early in the morning to redistribute crowds or something. I'm seeing an 80 minute posted wait time now (10:15 am).

I would keep it just like you have it. It is going to level out in a couple of weeks after Anna and Elsa open and we see some type of trends.

Here's an interesting thing. I just went into MDE to check out the FP availability for Soarin and FrozenEA for my day at Epcot. There are still Soarin FPs available, none for FEA. I think I made the right decision to use my Tier 1 on Frozen. It remains to be seen if any FPs are available day-of for a 4th at Soarin, but it could be possible (though I realize, not likely....but I know there won't be any FEA FPs).

The screen is perfect. All digital. No giant black bugs or squiggly film. We rode it Wednesday with the old film, which was also digitally perfect. It is a nice improvement.
