So This is What a Dream Tastes Like

Love the photos with Mary!!! We really enjoyed 1900 Park Fare last September. Sadly Alice had "fallen down the wrong rabbit hole" when we were there and we missed her.

Oh no. Poor Alice. Did they ahve a replacement then?

OMG, Claire looks so cute in her Mary Poppins outfit. No wonder, Mary would chat her up, she's her "mini me"! :thumbsup2

The Mad Hatter photo is really sweet - what a cute smile that girl has! :thumbsup2

I know what a trek it is from the self parking lot to the GF! :thumbsup2 For such a hotel they should have some closer self parking. :lmao:

Claire was very excited to have the extra time with Mary. Lets just say she got a lot of attention from the costume.
I couldn't even beleive how far out that parking was. It was comical.

Ok, you conviced me to book this breakfast when we go in 2012.:thumbsup2 Kadence loves Claires' costume. She said she looks like the real Mary Poppins:cutie:

I'm not even gonna try to do a costume, you and Janet have to corner on that one!:worship:

Jen!! I am so far behind, but I am working hard to catch up. I loved all of your reviews of the cruise, I can't wait to get started on you TR! Claire looks so adorable in her Mary Poppins dress!

We had Tigger...but my little girl who was dressed as Alice was pretty bummed. But we saw her later that week at MNSSHP so it all worked out. ;)

I think Tigger is a regular there though too. Good that you did see her. Last trip we saw Alice 3 times.

LOL! Janet had th best costume by far. But I am pretty proud of what we came up with for Claire.

I'm going pretty slow right now, so you should be able to catch up a little easier. I have nothing written up for an installment here right now, and only about 4 sentences of the next installment on my TR. I need to get to work on that, I guess.

Awwww....... thanks Jen! You did great though. I especially love the black and white in her costume up next to Mary. It makes for a beautiful photo!

Katie wants to do this breakfast when we go back. But I don't think she wants a Mary costume. I think she wants something Mary-inspired though. Don't have a CLUE what that is though....... I think she really just wants an excuse to cart that parrot umbrella along again......

I love the souvenir photo you bought! SOOO pretty!!!

Thanks. I really liked the photo too.

I agree!:thumbsup2 No way could I have passed that up!

And heck, she's not even MY kid! :lmao:

Aww thats so nice!

You are going to have to tell me what you come up with. I am running out of ideas for Claire too. I like doing the not so popular costumes. I have to admit, I really loved all the attemtnion she got. And my Dad was so impressed with it. It was funny to see him be so proud of her and talk about how great she looked.

WHERE did Claire get her Mary Poppins costume!??!?! And do they make one in Adult sizes?!?! Mary Poppins is my FAVORITE and I want to be her for Halloween next year, but I can't find a good costume! Claire's is AWESOME! :thumbsup2

They don't sell childrens ones anywhere that I can find...except hand made ones...and those can be found on ebay.
I have seen adult ones online at costume shops though.
I had to a lot of creative thinking and digging and praying. I ended up being able to have Claire's dance studio order the dress. The yhad a class wear them at the recital one year, and I asked if I could get one, so she ordered me on. Then I put a blouse under it. We took an old Easter hat and fancied it up. I added bows to the dress. I bought a parasol at Michaels and added bows to that as well. The boots we found online. They no longer make that style, and I think I found one of the last pairs left. They were a little big when I bought them ,but I didn't care. And now they fit and sadly it won't be too long and her growing feet will be too big for them.
I was happy with the result. I knew that no one else would have a costume exactly like hers.

Dinner was at The Cheesecake Factory.
I had never eaten here before, but have heard about it many times. We don’t have one anywhere near where I live.
Because of a mishap I had during the day, I had to make a trip to Best Buy. The guy at the hotel desk said there was a mall near the Best Buy with many restaurants and when he mentioned Cheesecake Factory, I knew that was my choice.
I dropped the family off near the doors and I went into the lot to park.
Off topic note, but I swear the parking spaces in Florida are smaller than the ones in Ohio. I felt like I was squeezing into each one and prayed we could all open our doors.

I couldn’t believe this menu. It was like 20 some pages long! I knew no matter what else I got…Cheesecake would be ordered! Claire also wanted Cheesecake, and Dad found one he liked as well! Yes, we were looking at the desserts first…what’s wrong with that? LOL!
I think we decided we would just get the cheesecake to go for a snack later on.
I decided on pizza. Mom wanted to share, and that was fine by me. She also wanted quesadillas, so we decided to share those as well. Note to self…that was way too much food!

I think Dad had a steak. I didn’t take a picture of his. I have to admit again, that the lack of sleep was catching up to me, and I would forget to take pictures sometimes, or the camera was becoming heavy! LOL!
Actually I only brought my point and shoot in to the Cheesecake factory, so the pictures I took of the actual restaurant are awful. I do have a few food shots though.

The bread was REALLY good here. Claire was going to town on it, and would yell at us if we went for some. We asked for more and some went back to the room with us as well.

Our quesadilla after we had already started to attack it.

It was good. Not the best one I have ever had, but still very good.

Claire went with the corndog and fries. She loves corndogs (after all it is in the hotdog family) and really enjoyed this meal.

Our pizza arrived and we attacked it before I even thought to take a picture. It was very good.

We boxed up half of the quesadilla and the pizza and received our cheesecakes to go. We were stuffed, and I couldn’t even imagine how we were going to eat those wonderful desserts. And sadly I never took a picture of them. I got Reeses Peanut Butter Chocolate Cake Cheesecake and it was fabulous and rich. Dad got UltimateRed Velvet CakeCheesecake™ and Claire got strawberry cheesecake. All were great, though it took us 2 days to eat them!

I don’t know what this cost. Mom paid for us all. I offered to pay the tip, but she told me not to worry about it since I had just spent some money (much more than I wanted to) at Best Buy. I was very happy to try this place. I wish there was one close to me. I will definitely try to find one in my travels in the future.

Yum! Your Cheesecake Factory update made my tummy grumble. For once, I was thankful that there weren't more pictures, especially of that cheesecake!!! I have to admit, DH and I might be staying at Pop in late May (not booked yet) and out of the blue I said to him yesterday, "Do you know what I'm looking to most about Pop?... The tie-dye cheesecake!!" He was :rotfl: I swear I had 3 or 4 of those the last time we stayed there for a week :rolleyes1 The only thing I love more than red velvet cake is cheesecake and tie-dye cheesecake is literally a slice of heaven for me! I just try not to think about all the dye I'm ingesting :rotfl: I honestly thought about resort hopping to Pop during our CSR stay for cheesecake, lol! I'm sure I found some other goodie to pacify me

I regret not having a peice of tye dye at Pop. Just not enough time. I am not a fan of red velevet cake though, so I just eat it to the crust and throw it away then. :rolleyes1

If you need a TA to book for you, let me know. I am a Disney Specialist now!

We  Cheesecake Factory. Those slices of cheesecake are enormous!

They were huge and so good. I tasted Claires too and it was very good. I think I was just getting to the point of overload on food though. I was getting to the pint that I couldn't eat as much as I wanted and still be comfortable! :headache:

Cheesecake Factory is one of my favorite restaurants! I eat there at least once a month! Helps that I have 3 within 30 minutes of me in three different directions! Their stuffed mushrooms are to die for!

You big bragger!!! :rotfl2:

Loving your reviews! Where exactly in Ohio are you from? I am from NW Ohio, specifically Maumee, Ohio.

I went to school at Ohio State and there is a Cheesecake Factory there in case you ever want to venture to Columbus! It is very good and there White Chocolate Raspberry Cheesecake is amazing!

I live just North of Swanton. Small world!
I know there is one in Columbus too. My sister and Aunt both live there and my sister told me she likes it. I don't go there to visit very often though. They usually come here. But I might have to make a trip. :rolleyes1
