Only 4 attractions have Single-rider lines in all of WDW.

Test Track-Epcot
Expedition Everest-DAK
Rock'nRollerCoaster-DHS
Toy Story Midway Mania (new)-DHS

These lines might not be available at all times that the attraction is operating.

And, generally, "no" on seeing the whole queue.

The following WDW rides have single rider lines:

Test Track (Epcot)
Expedition Everest (AK)
Rockin' Roller Coaster (HS)
Toy Story Mania (HS)

You can "see" the entire queue area only at Test Track.

But you don't go through it if that's what the OP really meant. The single riders line is designed to get people in and out quickly. I know at Test Track you see the preshow but I cannot be 100% certain at Rock and Roller Coaster (husband isn't home to ask).

At RnRC, you miss some of the themed pre-show area on the singles line, but you still get to see the ride pre-show film (starring Aerosmith, of course).

I sure wish they'd let me skip the film once in awhile. I think I can recite it verbatim.

Last time I was in Test Track's singles line they kept the door open to the preshow room - you could watch the film or just go get in line.

Wow. I saw Samanatha Brown talking about Disney last night and recommending the Single Rider Lines. I had no idea there were actually so few of them.

One thing to remember about the Single Rider's Line. Groups will be split! I have a friend who works at Everest. She has seen people in the line with children (who do meet the height requirement) who (the parents, not the kids) get upset when told that (a) they cannot be seated next to their child, and (b) they more than likely will even be on a different train than the child. And on a crowded day it can take 20 minutes to get to the front of the SRL and they are told if they don't like it the standby line is only 90 minutes long.

Amen. Single rider line means just that. You ride by yourself (with someone else, of course, but not your group).

On the 10th, the kids and I, not caring to wait the 45 minutes listed for the stand-by line, took the single rider line. And we saved all of 5 minutes... it took 40 minutes to get to the ride!

I had a similiar experience in the SRL at TT a few years ago. It was an EMH night at Epcot and there were soooo many teenagers/young adults in the SRL that I watched "families" going through the stand-by line much faster than the SRL. I think I was stuck in that loud line almost 45 minutes - never again!

the single rider lines to me are always full of couples, groups almost makes me ill when i just want to ride while wife waits with 5 year old they really need to do better not sure what disney can do

Single riders line does NOT mean you must be alone to use it. What it means is that you will be loaded onto the ride one at a time, taking up spaces left by odd-numbered parties in the main line. As long as all its members understand that they will be split up to ride, a group of any size can use the single riders line.

thanks for the responses... was thinking of doing single rider line for EE.. letting my son see the queue and then I ride... he waits. He is fine with that... Disney queue are worth it...
what about fastpass? it would be a waste of a fastpass but then we could see the queue for EE??
(and maybe rocknroll coaster)
FInally, is there a time posted for the single rider line like the stand by?

FP line at EE misses most of the queue.

that might be the rules but they would never have a problem filling the cars with true single riders if your a group use the regular line i think disney meant it to be a single rider line for single riders like parents or spouses they may not want to ride not groups wanting to get through faster come on people really

i just got back today. i went with my family, so i was not by myself.
we waited in line for test track, but noticed single riders getting in and out quickly while we were at a stand still so we decided to try it.
i'll let you in on a secret. after that...we used it every time. and every time, i was alway with my mom, she just ended up behind or in front of me.
then we did the same for rockin' roller coaster. we did single rider for a couple of times on that, too.
i just feel bad for the poor cast members who have to be fair with letting single riders, fastpass people, and stand-by people in. it seems tough and confusing. haha!

There is no such thing as a true single rider as you mean it. It doesn't matter who you get in line with. All that counts is that you know your group will be split up on the ride. If they allowed only completely unaccompanied people in the line they wouldn't have to announce that.

And I think my friends and I could just pretend we don't know each other and use the single line anyway.

Using Expedition Everest as a full example.

There are four lines
1. Regular
2. Fastpass
3. Single Rider
4. Front Row

The first three lines are accessible from outside the attraction.

As you enter the boarding area regular and fastpass lines are merged. At this point any group that wants to ride in the first row can go into the Front Row line.

The directing Host/Hostess will, for each train, first select the people at the head of the Front Row lines and direct them to Row 1. Then people will be assigned, two at a time, beginning with Row 2. There is no problem with groups with an even number of people; they will be assigned as many rows as needed.

If there are groups with an odd number of people the directing Host has two options. One is to merge the two odd-number groups to an even number group. The other is to assign the odd number group(s) to rows and take the next person in the Single Rider Line to fill up a row.

So how long the SRL takes depends on both the number of groups with an odd number of people and how it is handled by the Host.

But in any event the chance of two people who are together in the SRL riding together is very close to zero. And if people refuse to be split up, even parent from child, they are escorted to the Exit and told they will have to get in the regular line.

Nice explanation Cheshire Figment.

I think the times when someone has a problem with the single rider line is when they themselves are a "true" single rider.
