I am under strict instructions to buy trainers for my 22 year old, they have to be "high" fashion. We have looked at the Footlocker website and the american shop seems to feature functional trainers as opposed to fashion trainers. Any tips on where the best trainer shops are selling Nike & PUMA etc.

Also best places for jeans and casual wear and kids clothes. Limited to only 2 shopping days. Need to find a supermarket also as near as possible to International Drive as have lists as long as my arm asking for Pink Dove soap amongst other things and pancake mix and syrup. Any tips anyone?

The other thing we would like to purchase is cake baking tins. My friend does a lot of baking for weddings, birthdays etc and would like to purchase some good quality baking tins. Any ideas where we can head for?

By far the best outlet for Puma and Nike is at the Premium outlet Mall.

They both have their own shops and excellent choice. All the kit is last season which is the season to come for us. Good prices too.

For the other items walmart would be the best. There is one about 2 miles from the international drive. Its the turning opposite he big macdonalds and then straight down.

There are a few Reebok, Nike, Addidas and Puma outlets around the area. Belz will certainly have quite a few shops that will help you. For jeans and stuff I've found World of Denim usually have the best selection, there are again a few branches around. For the younger kids, if you're looking for Disney stuff, by far the cheapest place to get "proper" Disney gear is the outlet mall at Belz. I think there are two Disney outlet stores ( one in each of Belz 1 and Belz 2 ) and you can pick up Disney polo shirts for 25-30% of the price you'd pay at the Themeparks, shops or hotels that are located on Disney property.

For the other items, I can see you coming back without those LOL. I would leave buying stuff for other people, particularly bulky and difficult items like cake tins, until after you've bought all the stuff you need yourself. If you decide to get them all, Walmart is probably your best "one stop shop" to get the majority of those.

I agree with the comments about Walmart. If you can't find it there etc.

If you're looking for fashionable trainers at any of the outlets I'd forget it. Most shops seem to sell genuine sports shoes, not fashion statements. That said, prices are good. 3 pairs of Reebok trainers for £60.

For jeans I'd try LBV.

We found an excellent shop close to the Florida Mall which sold "labels" in a similar format as TKMax in the UK. Except that the clothing is pretty good, unlike TKMax. Only problem is that I can't remember the name. Sorry.

i so hope that people don't give me bad repsonses here, but i sooo have to agrre with this.

In my personal opinion , the majority of things for sale in orlando / Florida , are completely different to the things likely to be the height of fashion over here!

Of course, this will all depend on how fashion conscious your son is!

I expect you are all right about the trainer situation - New York would have been a better place to search for "fashion" trainers and Europe is also a good place, but I am under instruction to find a pair of Nike Air Shocks in a dark colour and hopefully as they are not too fancy I will be successful.

edited to add: I have even been given a picture of the said trainers to aid with identification - kids huh, she must think I am stupid!!

When we went with our family a couple of years ago they struggled to find Trainers that were 'High Fashion'. There were plenty of Nike, Reebok, Puma and the like on offer, but they just didnt seem to be of the type that my lot were after. They were at the time, 20, 22, 23 & 24. However, my son did buy some Ralph Lauren Sandals at Pointe Orlando in a specialist shop there, my daughter got some nice DKNY trainers in Premium Outlet Malls and I think we got some other (plainer type trainers for DH) in the Nike OUtlet along the 192. There is also a huge Nike outlet at the very end of the Florida Mall section, we found this on the way to the airport to come home!

I agree about World of Denim, although DS struggled to get fitted but he managed to pick up Levis to suit his size in the Levi Shop in Florida Mall. The girls went to town at LBV Outlet Mall with Gap, DKNY and one other, but sorry cant remember the name.

For cooking utensils, again, as said Wall-Mart, K-Mart or Target would be your best bet.

The first year I went without the kids I took pictures of the trainers they wanted, measurements for their jeans and made sure that I took inside leg, width of their thighs, width of the bottom hem, and colours. I had a little book that I wrote it all down and kept that, and a tape measure with me at all times when shopping. The girls in World of Deni and the Levi Shop were brilliant and so helpful. I think they are all accustomed to us Brits and our shopping spree's! By the way - World of Denim, along the 192 anyway - used to do alterations to jeans whilst you wait. Handy to know.

Hope this is of some help.
:) :) :)

If you want specialized baking pans, I would suggest Wilton. They normally have a good stock of this stuff at Michael's Craft Stores. On Sundays, Michael's will frequently offer a 40% off coupon in the newspaper (it's generally an insert). Your friend can look over Wilton's stock at :
