Sharon from fidelity is gone?

Just called fidelity and asked for Sharon... They said she isn't with the company anymore?? Anyone know what happened? It's funny because I just had a contract s with her thru fidelity taken by ROFR. When I spoke to Sharon after that she said she would let me know if another similar contract came in. I just called her not even a week later to check in and she is gone?? I'm starting to wonder even about the ROFR. All

Paperwork to prove the ROFR. Is that typical?

I don't know anything about Sharon, but Fidelity should be able to give you a definitive answer on the ROFR decision. I don't know that any broker would provide any buyer with a written document saying ROFR had been exercised, and they hopefully would not lie to you about it.

If you have any doubts, give them a call and speak to someone else.

I really didn't think they would lie about ROFR. But it felt weird for some reason so and then when I called and she was suddenly gone out of nowhere it got me thinking... But I'll call tomorrow.

I just found out about this as well. She emailed me on 5/4 that we passed ROFR, but I hadn't heard anything from her or the title company since. I left her a message a week or so ago that was never returned, they are not listening to her voice mail, the only reason I found out was I called the main line and asked for her.

Sharon was awesome, but it seems that brokerage company is having some issues these days. I have no idea where she went, but I hope she posts a message here or goes to another DVC resale company.

Wow. That is a big loss for Fidelity. I bought two contracts through her. One was negotiated a few years ago on memorial day weekend. As a pp stated, she went above and beyond.

Fidelity had a business relationship with DVD and there was a rumor that that relationship was going to end. I wonder if that has something to do with her leaving?

This was the email I received today from the above company. Apparently Sharon is now working with Rachel Thompson

This is the same Sharon. We were in the middle of a purchase with her through Fidelity and she "disappeared" along with all broker communication during the process. The title company became the only source for us to get information. It was disappointing to say the least and frustrating because we still had to pay a $195 broker fee for virtually no services.

Sharon is just an agent and Fidelity is the Broker.

The $195 goes to Fidelity alone and some other agent should have taken over after Sharon left. An agent is responsible for finding a seller and finding a buyer and negotiating the sales of a contract. A Closing agent and title agency usually handle the actual closing, not the agent.

I also used Sharon several years ago when I purchased through Fidelity. I am starting to consider adding another contract and noticed that most of the popular brokers have very little inventory but the broker that Sharon has moved to had the most. And I had never heard of them before....found them on a Google search. Where did they come from? Fidelity had hardly any contracts for sale. Anyway...best of luck to Sharon and I will consider the new broker when the time and the contract are right.

I just spoke to Sharon this morning! She's handling our DVC purchase. We are totally new to this and I'm shaking with nerves. She's been amazing with us helping to understand how the process works. Crossing my fingers and hoping for a smooth process!! It's so GREAT to hear that we have such a good person working with us! I'm so glad I found this thread!
