Sharli & Shane's Wishes Wedding 12/1/13 WP/GF

Wow! It's been a while since I've updated!! Work has been kind of crazy, but it's the invitees who have had me the most stressed out! Does no one know you're supposed to return an RSVP whether you plan to come to the event or not?! SO frustrating!!! I'll try to update soon.....there's lots to share!! Only 24 days left before the wedding!! 21 before we leave! Sent from my iPhone using DISBoards

Lol! I've just had the same thing happen!! No RSVP returned wasn't planning on them coming and then cruise booked! Who books a cruise two months out?? Oh well I'm glad they are coming

Wow you are so close :)
Can't wait for up dates

Jodi

PJ slacking again. I am so excited for all your weight loss! You have been working so hard, be sure to keep eating that delicious celery!
I'm sorry people are being pains about RSVPing. I don't understand what is so hard about filling something out and sticking it in an envelope and mailing it back.

Just starting your PJ and I'm on page 2 and can't wait to read the rest. When I read your post where you got your date I almost cried. Lol. I am in that position where I'm waiting to see if I get the date and time that I want and it's so not fun. Lol.

Isn't it annoying?! Ugh, I had to call people out for not returning them and even after that we only got like 4 more.....just ridiculous. What's worse is we never got RSVPs from at least 3 people we know are coming....all on DF's side. *coughsisterandbrothercough* Like you said, glad they're coming though.

The weight loss has stalled...mostly because I've gone off the diet quite a bit in the past several weeks and I've pretty much stopped working out. Work has been so crazy and with crunch time on the wedding stuff...it's just been really stressful. So, I never actually lost those 20 lbs, but I haven't put anything on either. I've mostly been gaining and losing the same 5lbs. :sad2: Eh, whatever. The dress still fits and I can get into the shorts I bought for the honeymoon.

Wow, thanks for taking it on....it's not too bad especially since I've completely fallen off in the last three months or so. The date was very important to me, but I really don't think that the weekend after Thanksgiving is all that popular...I think most people will be shopping.

Ok, I'm going to try to do an update.....hopefully I can remember what's gone on in the past two or three months. Work has been super crazy, which, combined with the stress of getting everything done for the wedding, has been pretty rough. I've been taking Airborne like candy just to make sure I don't get sick before the wedding.

So, in my last post I was talking about a dress I bought for the rehearsal dinner, which turned out to be a little snug. So, I got something different. I found this dress on the David's Bridal site. It was on sale for $59.99 in certain colors. The color was much different in person than I thought, but it's turning out to be alright. I found a pair of flats and paired it with a sparkly cardigan I already had. I bought the flats in nude and gray because I'm not sure which I like better (we had this debate on FB already). Most likely I'll decide on the day of the dinner. Here's a photo of the shoes and then me in the dress with the cardigan and nude shoes (the photo with the gray shoes is terrible so I won't be posting that one. LOL):

I had the dress shortened and taken in a little because it kept falling down.

Also in the last update, I spoke about my first dress fitting....well, I've now had my final fitting. I did end up getting a little jacket, but it's more to cover my back than for my arms. I wish I had enough time to get the sleeves altered because I don't like the way the slit hangs open. Also, my bridesmaid gave me my "something borrowed". It's a crown brooch! I love it! Here are some photos so you can see:

The ribbon hanging from my hand is actually my bracelet. I need to cut the tails before I go. Here is a close up of the brooch...I added it to the belt:

We *finally* found something for my mom to wear! I'm super happy! She's going to look beautiful! This is more a photo of the top, she'll be wearing this with some nice pants.

I got all the girls' stuff now! I know I'm going to forget something, but we got in Marlene's hoodie and hanger, I bought them flats to wear during the dessert party (and reception), a mini-emergency kit, boutonniere pins for the guys with photos of our grandparents who have passed that we are honoring, our sand ceremony vessel, I had work and personal bridal showers, WE GOT MAGICBANDS!!!, I bought multi-color popcorn for the welcome bags...have I mentioned we bought stuff to go in those? We got tissue, collapsable vases so the guests can take the flowers, lint rollers, the popcorn, water....hmm, I know we were thinking about getting some other snacks, gum, park maps, "We're Celebrating" buttons, hand sanitizer, I can't remember the other stuff right now. Well, here's a photo of the popcorn...it's so pretty!

We also bought glow bracelets and necklaces (I feel like I've said this before lol) for the dessert party and I ended up getting the spectro glasses for the fireworks.

When I got my bridesmaid's hoodie, I also ordered some vines with flowers to go where the dropped MOH's name was on the original hoodie and the saying "I got married at Walt Disney World now I'm broke....and it was worth every penny!". Inside the box, Lisa included a sweet note and four crystal Mickey heads. I decided to place them like a "hidden Mickey" and put them in the back, center part where the hood is sewn onto the body. When the hood is down, it's hidden, when you put the hood on, it's visible.

There was a little drama about the rehearsal dinner, but we got that all taken care of. Have I mentioned lately that Jamie and Jessica are THE. BEST. Well, they are!

We booked our portrait session for December 10 and we'll be taking photos in MK and HS. I'm really excited.

I've ordered table names, escort cards and programs through Impressions.

I can't think of anything else, but I'll try to get on and post again before we leave for Disney. We're leaving next Thursday (Thanksgiving day...only 8 more days, eeeee!!), but after I get off work in about 7 minutes, I'll officially be on vacation!! Three full weeks!!!

I can't believe how close you are !! So exciting. I love your dress and actually I liked the strings on your bracelet. It took me awhile to realize it !! So looking forward to hearing about everything. :)

Amazing!! It sounds like everything is all coming together! I love that RD dress!

And you are so close, I can't believe it! I'm so excited for you!!!

I can't believe how close things are!! You look amazing in all your dresses and I'm so excited to see how things turn out (both here and on Facebook!)

It's almost time for your big day and I'm so happy for you! It has been so much fun and VERY helpful reading your PJ. I'm getting married in December of next year so it was very helpful to read about someone getting married in December of this year. PLEASE let me know what the weather is like at night time in Disney in December so I can plan my clothing accordingly :lmao: I expect it to be still super hot, but I've seen old pictures where a couple was in heavy coats and mittens. Lol. My DF and I are thinking about giving out hot chocolate in our welcome bags, but if it's still 80 degrees at night we might look kind of silly. Lol. Oh, and let me know how the DP goes. I've heard so many brides talk about doing those and I had never heard of one until I started reading the DIS Boards. I hope your wedding and trip to Disney are completely magically. Your PJ has truly been an inspiration to me!

Did you make or order "We're Celebrating" buttons? Disney said that they don't do custom orders and we would need to make them ourselves.

No, no ordering or making buttons. I just went up to the concierge desk and asked. They asked how many and then gave me extra.
