Several Questions... Park Tickets/Mosquitos/Food...

I've been having a planning blitz, I think to distract myself from the fact the wedding is 2 weeks today and I *really* should be planning that... Disney is much more interesting right now :good vibes

I have a couple of questions if anyone would like to share their wisdom please?

1 - What's the Disney area like for mosquitos in September? If there are lots, what do you recommend as prevention for bites? I haven't ever need to buy anti-mosquito stuff, as the last time it was needed I was 14 and mum bought it!!

2 - We'd like to spend 2 days at Universal and at least 1 at Seaworld. Best to buy individual tickets or will that work out more expensive? Would the Orlando Flexticket be worth it on price, particularly seeing as it would also mean we have more flexibility about which days we go where?

3 - Could you recommend me 2 or 3 of your favourite off property restaurants for the evening meal please? We're staying in the Epcot area, no car but have budgeted for taxis. I've had one recommendation from a colleague for Charley's Steakhouse - any views?

Thanking you! :goodvibes

I can't help with the tickets or the restaurants, but I have never been bitten or even seen a mosquito.........and I usually attract them.

I feel like such a doofus, I meant to post this in UK trip planning :rolleyes1

I live in FLorida and I am here to tell you that those suckers are alive and well in September. If it is warm outside, they are out. Buy some "Off" and use it. I hate those things and for whatever reason, they love me.

Also I saw a report just recently, that they love beer, so while at epcot, I would not partake or any of that, unless you plan on staying inside. They also like perfume.

My experience at Disney has been just like Meriweather's-- never seen or felt a mosquito.

We usually visit family in different areas of FL before heading over to Disney and yes, the mosquitoes are awful. I can't even walk out to the car in the driveway in the evening without being covered in bites, but once we hit Disney property we have no issues.

Never have seen mosquitos at Disney except at Animal Kingdom Kidani village because of the wetland area right by the pool.

As for restaurants, some good ones are Emeril's, Bluezoo and Kimonos.

Just a bit of forewarning, using taxi's daily is going to get very expensive, much more than a car rental would cost. A taxi from a Disney World area hotel to Universal will probably be around $40 one way plus tip.

Have been to WDW in the months of August, Sept., and October and have never seen a mosquito. Do take sunscreen though. :)

Well maybe they have some Disney Magic for mosquitos, I don't know. We generally go when it is cool out. It is highly possible that they spray at night or something, they should share their secret, because obliviously they have a good one.
