Seven Mile Beach/Grand Cayman ??

This question is assuming that we are able to get to Grand Cayman in January....


Anyone know about what it costs to take a taxi to Seven Mile Beach from the port? There are five of us and we would rather go on our own than do an excusion.

Also, how long is the cab ride??

Seven Mile Beach is literally a few minutes north from the port, won't cost you much at all in $ or time to get there. There being enough cabs might be an issue, don't know how many survived being flooded.

We went to Seven Mile Beach on our own 2x. The cab ride is $4.00 per person each way. Although 7 mile is a public beach if you want to use chairs you need to rent them. We got dropped off by the Courtyard Marriott(formerly Holiday Inn), right there is a restaurant, bar, restrooms and watersports. The lounge chairs were $10.00 a piece and a free soda couponfor each rental whoopee)! One year they did not charge us for the chairs. I walked further down the beach and there was an area called Sea Grape Beach - they also charged for chairs. The beach is awesome though and I felt it was worth it as an excursion would have cost more.
