Hello all. I haven't posted much of anything on here since life has been so super crazy. We are packing now and were wondering if anybody heard which nights are Formal and Semi-formal? Looking forward to seeing the ship in about a week!!!!!!

Formal night is the first day at sea which will be on the 23rd and semi formal night is on the 27th.

Formal night is Sunday and semi formal is Thursday

I'm hoping to take one of the animators classes on the ship. I want to learn how to draw Mickey!

Okay, I've never cruised before and I'm starting to get concerned about a potential hurricane or tropical storm interrupting our plans. I have no choice but to be flexible about that, but I'm more concerned about sailing in rough seas. Has anyone cruised actually during a hurricane/tropical storm and how bad was the ocean?

The Weather Channel just now said that as far as they can tell, conditions were favorable that there would be NO storms in the Atlantic in the next 1-2 weeks Good news!

That is great news!!!!! On my last cruise we celebrated our 10 year anniversary at Palo for dinner. The sea was rough that night because of one of those storms. Before the the main course arrived, my husband had to go back to the room and my son took one bite from his entree and then he went back to the room. So mom, celebrated her anniversary dinner alone Thank goodness for Bonnine.

That is funny and sad at the same time, that is a bummer! We had bad weather back in April aboard the Wonder three days of thunder storms and high seas that cancelled our Key West port and almost lost out on Castaway Cay if it wasn't for the Captain getting us in.
No worry this trip.

I agree! I love their new app. It's so user friendly!

I'm pretty excited, we found little mini-bottles of decent wine on sale at the grocery store. 10 for $10! They aren't great wines, but they get the job done... and they are in light weight plastic, screw top bottles. Woo hoo!! We weren't planning on taking anything because we didn't want to mess with full bottles, this is perfect! And to think... We will be cracking them open in one week

You know the funniest part about that to me, now that i think about it, was that this mom was not going to leave without eating her chocolate soufflé first. On a good note, PJ, the Palo Manager at the time, wrapped up their food and escorted me back to the suite where my boys DEVOURED their food and then ordered room service that night as well! Lucky for me, we did get our anniversary picture taken in Palo before my boys went back to the room.

At least one of us will still be in the class. Second will depend on the answers we get about meal time in the club. We've had mixed reports about if Victoria will be forced to sit at the table during meal time or if she can just play by herself. We won't know for sure until we get on the ship. So I'll keep us signed up and hope for the best!

Oh my gosh I love that app! I got the original Dis E-ticket app a LONG time ago so I have both but I love the new Disboards one much better. Excellent navigation. In fact right now I don't even have E-ticket loaded- I just use Disboards.

OK, I admit it, I'm sooo jealous. Wish I were getting ready to leave, but we have a little while to wait. The only good thing is you will be home, and we'll be heading out.

Well we are driving down Thursday night and planning on staying near the port Friday night. I forgot how the tipping works. Can someone please run through that again. Do we pay that at the end and it's already set how much it will be based on the cruise length?
