Haven't seen a meet thread for this cruise yet, so thought I would start one. Just booked this today and am so excited! Going over DD 3rd bday and DH bday week. And we got a great cabin choice.. Yay!

Anyone else joining? This cruise seems to have some good sales so far for 2 days in...:wave2:

I'm in, Cap'n!!!

I'm going on a girls-onl trip with two work friends; one has never cruised, and the other has cruised before but never on Disney. If she sees Captain Jack Sparrow, you'll hear her....wherever you are. Trust me :)

We're in a cat. 8C on deck seven. And you?....

We should get on the cruise meets list... I can take care of that.

:beach: I have added your thread to the cruise meet list
Have a great cruise! pixiedust:

Great! thank you!! I honestly started the thread, but I am not a good leader for these things so thanks again!
I know, we are a little early as we only have 16+ months (haha)... but I am sure more will come out of the wood works soon :hyper:

I am in a cat 5E, deck 7 in the back of the ship. It is our first balcony room ever on any cruise, and we got the back so we can't wait. We got a balcony so we can go out there if DD needs to nap

That's actually a really great place to be (we are aft also). Straight up the aft elevators to Cabanas, or down to the kids' clubs on 5 and adults' clubs on 4.

All the cool people are on 7 aft!

And you will love having a verandah, especially with a little one. My group chose not to, to save money, and frankly the only time I used it on our last cruise was when my husband wanted me to join him. I'd much rather be up on deck!

Oh! And the closest laundry room is just up the stairs and around the corner on deck 8, by room 8148. That's probably important information for the parents of a toddler.

BTW, I'm Linda. My Dis name is MickeyEarrings because I'm never without Mickey Mouse earrings in my earlobes :)

Hi there. I just booked this cruise and wanted to join the meet up group as soon as possible. This is my second disney cruise and I joined a meet up group for the last one but only a week out so didn't get a chance to do all the fun things. Not making any mistakes this time lol. September 12th is my birthday and I will be 30! So I wanted to do this for me and my 2 boys who will be 6 and 5 when we go. They loved the cruise last time so I'm super excited to go again with them a little older this time. We are in a concierge room 12010. I look forward to getting to know everyone and see you all on board. :)

Hi Linda, I am Amy :)

yes, thank you for the washing machine, I might be there a time or 2, LOL. We are planning to do WDW first too, so lots of clothes/days to go. We did the same last year and had to do laundry at least once. I am hoping for potty trained by this cruise, but that may mean more washing due to potential accidents... I want her to go to the kids clubs if possible though, and maybe the pool if she is good with the potty by then. We are going to start this summer/fall with the training so she has a year.

I saw a cabin open the other day on deck 9, above where we are now. I almost grabbed it, then said I better think on it first. I am not sure I want to move. We were on Deck 6 last time and it was a good location (cat 8D). I would think 7 would be nice too, kinda in the middle up/down. Maybe if a deck 8 opens I will debate on moving up, but not sure. Don't want to be too close to Cabanas :scared:

We were very happy on deck 7 last November: it's a short trip down the stairs to the main dining rooms, and when going up to 11 for Cabanas or the pool, I never had to wait for an elevator.

Now, when going up to deck 13 to sunbathe, this was my strategy: walk up two flights of stairs to deck 9. Walk forward to midship elevator lobby and walk up two more flights to deck 11. Then walk forward on the pool deck to take the stairs up to 13. That way, I could get some excercise, free up an elevator for someone else, and not fall over in the process! LOL

Ah, club level....so jealous! Maybe someday! I volunteer in companion animal rescue and now look at everything in terms of "how many dogs could I feed with that money?" - so I'm pretty sure ill never see the inside of the club lounge. LOL

Way to get in on the group early this time!! You made it in on page one!!!

After much discussion with DH we ended up with this cruise (his 4th DC, my 5th - going for the Gold!)
This will be our first time on the Fantasy after our honeymoon cruise on the Magic and two west coast cruises on the Wonder.

Cptnkirky, I think we're your neighbors - we're in cabin 7194. Are you in 7192 or 7690?

And I know it's waaaaaay early, but put us down for an FE when somebody starts one up!

Only 470 days till our cruise!!!

I like that idea! I am hoping we won't have to see our stroller so much this time, so taking the stairs will be more of an option. hehe I would rather not walk through cabanas everytime like we did before...

Awesome!! so you are the one that got my 7194!!!! ARRGGG

just kidding! I read the balcony on that one is HUGE. I will have to peek over and check it out if you don't mind :goodvibes:goodvibes

I hope that you don't mind having a 3 year old next to you?? She is usually very quiet... hopefully that will still be true in 16 months!

We are in 7690. That was all that was available by the time I got to it Wed morning (we are only Silver), except 1 on deck 6 and some on deck 10 (no way!). I was happy with it still being available though. Do you have any idea what the break between our rooms is? It looks like a small walkway or something as it shows on the map as a grayed area, but no idea what it is? I know my room doesn't join to yours inside, but I think the balconies can open so not sure what that separation could be....

Weird, we just booked 7194 this morning. (We're Silver too, until after this cruise) I wonder if someone else had it reserved and canceled/moved rooms... Glad we got in today (and we're with you on the 'no way!' on 10 - don't need to be up at 5 or 6 in the morning every day).

I saw that break too and I think it's a linen/storage closet. From what I've seen, the verandahs on 7192, 7194 & 7690 all have connecting doors.

Oh, and if we minded being near three year olds, I think a Disney cruise would be a bit wrong for us.

BTW, here's your room on youtube -

Welcome , sandracox67! (Sandy? Sandra?!...)

We're right around the corner in 7178. All the cool kids are on 7 aft! (sorry, Lynsey...)

Great video of Amy's room! How the heck did you find it?!

Sandra (DH is Joel)

Found the video just doing a search on youtube (noticed some people had posted room videos when we were researching)

Ahh, you must have had good timing then :) I see other rooms pop up all the time back there, so I think someone is moving around rooms. There was a room on the 9th deck open one day, and was gone in an hour...

I was wondering if it was storage. Just hoping it won't be noisy, but I guess they will only really be in there when we are out for the day. Thanks for the youtube video too. I had watched that when I booked it but then forgot to look back at it for the storage space question. I looked again and I think I do see a glimpse of a storage door
