Donald, Dinosaurs and Dining oh my!
After our safari trip we headed to Dinoland U.S.A to use our next FP for...you guessed it, Dinosaur!
As we were walking in though we spotted someone we just had to say "hello" to...
First character meet of the trip! A+
Then it was on to make history with the time rover.
Joe looks unimpressed as a dinosaur attacks us.
So, I have to include an ancient picture from a Disney trip from many years ago. Where my Dad looks equally unimpressed and my sister...well that is what pure fear looks like. And I'm hiding next to her. This picture cracks me up every time.
I can't lie, that dino still scares me just as much today. I've just learned to put on a brave face...I think.
If you can't tell, we rode twice. Once in the SB line because the wait was so short and once with our FP right after when the SB said 20 minutes but the SB'ers got on at the same time we did. The great Disney ride time inflation.
Next we headed to Primeval Hurl. Why? I'm not really sure. This ride messed with me last trip but I thought I'd give it another shot to see what Joe thought. The verdict?
Primeval Hurl probably won't exist much in our Disney future. An FYI to anyone planning - the SB wait was 10 minutes at 11:30 and we waited five minutes total.
We had an EE FP burning a hole in our...MagicBands so we headed to Asia and ended up using our FPs at 11:50 and waited 10 minutes.
Joe's face...
Guy's got no sense of humor at all.
After our awesome ride, we were STARVING and in desperate need of refueling. We were having lunch at the Yak & Yeti QS counter. And could not find it anywhere. And when I'm hungry...
It was time to eat. We finally found it after wandering aimlessly for what felt like far too long and finally asking somebody to point us in the right direction...to the place we had passed multiple times. In our defense, there's no real signage for the QS and it was slightly confusing.
Anyway, we were ready for some food.
The top picture is my delicious lunch which was the teriyaki beef bowl. Joe, the bottom picture, got the chicken curry. Both were fantastic. Mine had very few pieces of beef which was kind of a bummer but the sauce, vegetables and rice made up for it. For dessert, Joe got the chocolate mouse and I got the banana pudding - which was the clear winner.
We were done with lunch by 12:40. We had both commented how surprised we were with the pace of the day. I know I was afraid the days would fly by but they really didn't. We packed in a lot to our days but also made sure to take some time to relax and the days really felt very full and long.
