#1 varies by bus or stays after and dh picks her up

#1 has a big variety and buys but will bring lunch depending on when lunch is (different every day)

For the first fall semester in 23 years I have no children in school. Done with that. Now if my youngest could just find a job with the college degree.

1. My daughter is going into grade 10.

2. She attends a public high school grades 9-12.

3. Bed time is 10.30 but I imagine she stays on her phone til about 11.00

4. Wake up is at 7.30 but usually isn't upstairs til 8.00.

5. If she walks, she leaves around 8.40..if she sucks up to her stepdad and gets a ride they leave around 8.50.

6. School goes from 9.00-3.45.

7. If she doesn't hang around after school with friends she is usually home just after 4.00.

8. Most of the time she will bring some semblance of lunch. If not, she buys it or goes to the sev and grabs something.

9. Her favourite subject is art.

10. Last year she was in the gay/lesbian/trans advocacy group. She is straight but has a few friends who fit those groups and wanted to support them. She was also in the ukulele group. She definitely is weird and quirky and I love her for it <3

they all walk to my class at the end of the day and I usually try to leave by 4 with them

My daughter is going into 10th, my son is going into 8th.

Public

Whenever they feel like it. Usually around 11 I guess.

6, 6:30 for DD, like 7 for DS

5. When does your child leave - how does he/she get to school?

They leave at 7:30, my husband drops DS off at middle school, then DD off at high school and then goes to work. Total drop off time < 10 min.

6. when does school start/end?
7:55/8-2:55.

7. when does child get home and how?
I work at a local elementary school and we get out at 3:10. if they walk, they get home around the same time I do, 3:25ish. They wait at school if the weather is bad and/or they just want a ride.

8. buy or bring lunch?
DS always buys.
DD normally buys, but says she's bringing this year.

9. favorite subject?

Generally, social studies/history for both.
However if they have great teachers, that subject is their favorite bc of the teacher. In 6th, DS's fave was science and in 8th DD's fave was physics.
DD also loves Spanish.

10. extracurricular activities?

DD: cheer(fall), comp. cheer(winter), softball(spring), high school dance team, outside of school dance class once a week, student congress, clarinet, asst. coach for 5th/6th grade rec cheer(fall only), and is debating joining debate this year.

DS: football, basketball, baseball--all rec teams, out of the 3 school only has basketball and he's never tried out for that team. Plays percussion

DS just started his LAST trimester of Physical Therapist school
DD is a Jr in high school

2. what type of school does your child attend?
DS Private Health/Science Graduate school
DD Public high school 9-12

DS that's his gig
DD not carved in stone but usually by 10:30

4. When is wake up time?
DS goes to school from 8-6, he tends to be up around 6, heads to the gym and then school
DD milks it to the very last minute, she gets up about 7:40 for an 8am departure

5. When does your child leave - how does he/she get to school?
DD 7:50 if she takes the bus, 8 if I take her
On football practice days she has to be at school at 5:45 - Twice a week
On the days she is assigned the training room, 6:45, one week out of six or so
Either I or DH take her on practice days

6. when does school start/end?
DS 8-5ish
DD 8:35 to 3:45

7. when does child get home and how?
DS drives himself - we never know when we will see him - school and girlfriend keep him busy
DD takes bus, arrives home about 4:10

DD both although she decided this year she is a vegetarian and so takes more that she buys due to very limited options

DS is Student body president and shadows PT's in various settings as well as he has had 24 weeks of onsite internships over the past two years.
Non school related: Gym, Golf and shooting

DD is an Athletic Trainer and accompanies the various sports teams as part of the support staff, she is also working with a local chapter of Guide Dogs for the Blind and puppy sits on a regular basis. She is working towards getting her own puppy to raise sometime later this year.
She also enjoys binge watching television series or movies. Currently she is working her way through West Wing

No set bedtime at this age. DS is typically in bed by 9 or 10. DD settles down around 11 p.m.

It varies. Some days they ride the bus which arrives at 7:35 a.m. Some days DD drives, and they leave at the same time.

DD either rides the bus or drives. She works 3 days a week after school. On those days she goes straight to work and gets home later.
DS has football practice after school. We pick him up after practice at about 6-7 p.m.

Both attend private, Catholic independent non-parochial single-sex schools.

3. when is bedtime?

They put themselves to bed. It varies, but is most commonly between 9:30-10:30

4. When is wake up time?

6:00-6:30 depending on the day

5. When does your child leave - how does he/she get to school?

As of now, I drive both. Sometimes they both need to be there at 7 for club meetings or special stuff. When that's the case. We leave at 6:40ish. Most days, they both have to be there at 8. We normally leave at 7:15. They both like to be about 10-15 minutes early on normal days.

8-3ish for both

7. when does child get home and how?

A senior at my daughter's all-girl school takes them both home most days. They're home by 3:45.

My son's school has a dining plan included in tuition. It's great. He eats like he's on a Disney Cruise every day and it's only $800 per year!

My daughter's school is pay as you go. She generally brings about 50% of the time.
