San francisco hotel suggestions?

Thinking of doing 2 days in San Francisco after DL. Any hotel suggestions that is safe for 2 young children, not extremely pricey, and possibly close to the warf? We will have a rent a car so hotels within adequate driving distance is not a problem. Thanks!

We have not stayed here yet, but booked it for August based on the reviews and the price!

Good choice. There's a Trader Joes and a Safeway not too far away and a cable car terminus a block or so away (Powell Mason line).

Pier 2620 - we stayed here in August last year and it was great, easy walking distance to the cable cars, Ghiradelli square, Fishermans Walk and the City Tour buses

Where ever you decide to stay, do check the parking per night rate. We paid $62 per night to PARK at our hotel last summer, that was in addition to the hotel rate and the resort fee.

It has been a couple years, but Columbus Inn included in and out parking

Try Holiday Inn Fishermans Wharf (not the express) we stayed with 3 adults and 2 small kids in a junior suite. Gave us 2 beds and sofa bed and they provided a crib for free. Easy walking distance to wharf, ghiradelli, tram station etc
