Without going too deep into my opinion (at least not yet), I think it's great that there are now new events/medals. I think it is something less than great that it's once again gender biased.

I think so, too. It just makes sense as a bridge between the un-timed 5k and the half marathon.

I would concur, except when would they do a 10K for the night races? Oh wait....they'll find a way...just to make some more money.

Oh that sounds terribly exciting. A 5K at 6am. A 10K at 7:30am and a half/10 miler at 10pm!!!! Where can I sign up?!?!?!

I bet they will move the Royal Family 5k to Friday so they can do the 10K on Saturday and the Half on Sunday. ( They did something similar for the Marathon weekend).

I know this makes sence, but now we would have to make sure we all have to take off work on Thursday as well as friday to ensure we can get to the expo in time to get race credentials for friday's 5K.

it's kind of a bummer that they don't have a special medal for 10k/half in January. (yes, that's just my "sour grapes" complaint.)
