rooms at CSR ever open up?

We're trying to book a week in May. I can book Sun-Wednesday, then Thursday - Saturday, but can't get Wednesday night on an AP rate or even at rack rate (willing to pay it at this point). Do the rooms ever open up? I was curious if they are held for conventions or not and when it the best time to check if that's the case.

Here is the May convention list:

May 1 - 5, NEC2013
May 15 - 17, 2013 CSCAA Convention
May 17 - 19, 2013 FACCM Conference
May 19 - 23, Fusion 2013
May 23 - 26, FSEA State Convention 2103


There are two conventions there on Wednesday May 15th if that is the day in question. My guess is they hold a block of rooms until a certain date and then if they aren't booked by conventioneers they open them to the public. I'm not sure what the timeline is and it may vary for different conventions. I would just keep trying every couple of days.
