My husband and I will have one evening away from kids to enjoy a nice quiet dinner. Any suggestions for a nice place for dinner not in Disney. My husband would like to be away from the crowds for the evening.

I am also looking for a fun place to take my mother on her birthday while we are at disney

Orlando is now full of good options for a romantic evening out, restaurant-wise. My top 10 choices are:

1 Tchoup Chop, Universal’s Royal Pacific Resort
2 Park Plaza Gardens, Winter Park
3 California Grill, Disney’s Contemporary Resort
4 Jiko, Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge
5 The Boheme, Grand Bohemian Hotel
6 Manuel’s on the 28th, Bank of America building, downtown Orlando
7 Old Hickory Steakhouse, Gaylord Palms Resort
8 Atlantis, Renaissance Orlando Resort
9 Arthur’s 27, Wyndham Palace Resort
10 Moonfish, Sand Lake Road

Now, taking the Disney choicec out, and substituting for Tchoup Chop, which can get pretty busy, you could try:

1 Park Plaza Gardens, Winter Park
2 The Boheme, Grand Bohemian Hotel
3 Manuel’s on the 28th, Bank of America building, downtown Orlando
4 Old Hickory Steakhouse, Gaylord Palms Resort
5 Atlantis, Renaissance Orlando Resort
6 Arthur’s 27, Wyndham Palace Resort
7 Moonfish, Sand Lake Road
8 Norman's, Ritz-Carlton
9 The Palm (Hard Rock Hotel)
10 Seasons 52 (opposite Moonfish)
