Just found out today that Disney took ours

So sorry to hear this! My inlaws OKW passed today at $72pp. Seeing your post that the broker said three got taken this week, I feel like they dodged a major bullet. They lost an SSR contract to Disney just last month but bounced right back. You should do the same! Good luck

We got home late Thursday and I worked all day Friday and all day today. I will start updating the list in the next day or two. Congratulations to everyone that passed and sorry to hear about all the taken contracts. Our first DVC stay was a great one and we had a great rom at BLT. So much more space than a regular hotel room. I can't wait till our next stay.

What is up with all of these OKW!! I am noticing how so many are being denied! It makes me so sad bc we are waiting for ours to pass and starting to wish maybe we should've chosen another resort even though we like OKW. Sorry for the loss.

It seems like I should be patiently waiting for my ROFR refusal. Put in an offer for OKW $66 220, 220/14 220/15. Is there a method behind this madness or is there something to look for in the future when purchasing a resale DVC?

No, not method. Just madness. We've seen almost identical contracts where Disney took the more expensive one, then passed on the cheaper one on the same day.

Just got our first DVC contract sent off for ROFR! Took 7 days from when we signed the contract and 5 days from when seller signed to get the papers sent off by the broker.

Buyer pays closing and Seller pays 2014 maint fees.

I'm already hating the waiting!! But at least now I know it is in Disney's hands and the 30 day clock is started.

64 days after passing ROFR, these two contracts with Fidelity fell through due to Seller Default.

Onward and upward with another company and another contract!

We got notice last Thursday that we passed ROFR!!! Our contract is at AKV for 120 points, December use year. Just waiting for the final paperwork to come in so we can send lots of money to the title company!!!

So I just gave my deposit for 25 points at OKW at $90 per point. They said ROFR takes about a month. If Disney wants to buy it back, can I counter or is that the end of the process? Do they exercise it more on low point contacts or is is solely based on price per point?

No rhyme or reason for ROFR, your price is very good, my opinion you should pass with no problem. Who pays mf and closing?

ROFR is VERY calculated . At least on Disneys side it is ..........to us it makes no sense. Its not driven by price alone, thats for sure !

There are no MF until 2015, which is fair since I'll be getting full points. The seller covered 2014. I am paying closing, but it's less than $300.

If Disney takes it, you cannot counter. You would have to look for another contract and start the process over.

This one went to ROFR today ! Not the deal of the century , but we had a VERY hard time finding VWL to match our UY, and we needed some current 2014 points to go with it for next year . Seems like an awful lot of contracts are stripped on the resale market .
