Are you able to negotiate a lower price since there are less points?

We probably could have, but we were already quite happy with our offer. It does mean our closing costs are adjusted by ~$185, so that's good.

Sounds like you did get compensation for the missing points. If the bottom line wasn't affected then the closing costs should have stayed the same.

Little late to the the thread, but here is our most recent contract!

The deed was recorded on 12/3! Our agent said ours was the fastest one he has seen!

We paid the dues only on the 106 points, while seller paid dues on 54 points. So excited! We have now hit our "target" number and are DONE! (Maybe)
