Responsiveness of mouseover thread summary with new forums

One of the features I would often use when reviewing new threads was the mouseover for the first few hundred characters of the OP. Vbulletin would display this text instantly as it was delivered in the html content of the page. These new forums have about a 400ms delay in each preview, which seems to require a call to 'preview' page. This is annoying when glancing at a few pages of new posts, with 20 posts per page translating to almost 10 seconds of extra load time per page.

I'm not sure if this is a feature that can easily be changed, but I'd imagine a single call to load the preview elements of every post at once when loading a forum would be a lot cheaper than 20 individual calls per page.

Just a suggestion from a performance engineering perspective. At least see if a user-selectable option could be added.

Seconding this suggestion. The lag is a little too noticeable right now.
