Hi, We are planning our first trip to Disney with our children, who will be 4 at the time of the trip. My husband and I have been a ton of times and have always stayed value most recently at POP. We are debating on doing either a Value or Moderate. We were looking at Carribean Beach but are concerned about how big the resort is, long walks and I've heard a lot of bus stops. I suggested going back to POP (preferred room) or AOA, but husband is concerned about the long bus ride to park, I never noticed it in the past but I also didn't have a pair of toddlers with me. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Unless you are going to go with a Deluxe, your bus rides are going to be somewhat comparable. Some resorts are slightly closer to one park than another, but overall it will be similar for the values and moderates. The larger moderate resorts have multiple stops within the resort, which cuts down on your walk to the bus but adds time on the bus since you have to make multiple stops.

In my opinion, a preferred room at POP would be a good bet, since you will have minimal walking and only one bus stop. You aren't going to beat the travel time substantially with any other value or moderate resort.

First trip with the children! Always exciting :) For the most part, what you've heard about Caribbean Beach is true. There are various bus stops in and around the resort, and the walks are pretty long depending on where your room is. From past experience at POP, and AOA being on the same compound basically, the bus rides were pretty evenly spaced. Hollywood Studios is under 5 minutes, Epcot is around 7 minutes (if that), Animal Kingdom is about 10 minutes, and the Magic Kingdom is the longest being upwards of 13-15. There are also more buses running to the value resorts because more people tend to stay at them, as well as the newer bigger buses being a priority for these resorts.

Anyways, I'm sure you'll have a blast none the less.
Have a great trip!

While I'm not a fan of CBR the reason I chose it, back in 2002, was because of all of the moderates it had the largest rooms. I really do not like how spread the resort is. My husband and sons have fonder memories then I do lol.

We love CBR. It has great playgrounds, beaches and pools. Nice courtyards. Book a preferred room and you are close to everything. It is big, but you hardly see anyone during the day. Movies at night. Nice food court. There is a bus stop for each village. People complain about the buses at every resort. These are no better and no worse, except these are covered with seating. You wont be disappointed.
