Resort Check In - First time checking in with adult children

[I'm going to be checking in with my 18 year old daughter and my husband at her Christmas break. Her boyfriend will be arriving a couple of days later. I'll be reserving two rooms for the entire week for the four of us. Will I be able to pick up her boyfriend's keys to the world card without having him present? Or will I have to bring him back to the front desk to pick it up when he arrives?
