We get our wake-up call at 6:30 a.m., Mears is picking us up to go to Universal Studios at 8:30 a.m. We have a quick breakfast at Roaring Forks with Jen and Greg and walk out front of the WL to wait for our ride. After Mears picks us up, he goes on to the Polynesian, Grand Floridian, and the Contemporary and picks up more people, it seems like it takes forever!
Today is a gorgeous sunny day and we end up tying our sweatshirts around our waist, except DH, he braved the chilly morning and is now not bothered with an unwanted sweatshirt.
We decide to buy the pass to do both parks, I have never been to IOA. DD and friend decide to just do Universal Studios and not IOA, since they were there last year. We start out at IOA and ride "The Hulk" first. This is an awesome roller coaster! Next we go to "Spiderman", I love this ride, and the 3-D effect! It's so cool! Next we go on "Dueling Dragons" and this is the first time I have gone on a roller coaster with my feet dangling and not in a car! I was a little nervous about this one, but I ended up loving it! The Ice (blue) was my favorite. We end up walking thru Dr. Seuss, and my DH says it looks like "Whoville" We end up eating here under some big tent, can't remember the name of the place, we just had cheese pizza and chocolate cake! It was ok, and it was fast.
We head on over to Universal Studios, DH wants to see "Terminator III 3-D" We saw it in 1997, and we noticed they had changed it a bit. When we last saw it, there was an actor on a real motorcycle on stage and going up the aisle. They didn't have that this time. We then head over to "Back to the Future", "ET", "Earthquake", and "Kong", what a great Park!
We decide we are going to eat at Downtown Disney after we return to our villa and get changed, But first we walk down to the dock to see the Shuttle Launch. We make it just in time, and I get a couple of shots with my digital.
There are a lot of people there with cameras and camcorders, also hoping to get it on film. This is the first time I've seen it live, I usually always watch it on TV.
We hop on the DD bus and decide that we will eat at whatever place can take us, since this was the only night I didn't have a PS already made. I thought we would be staying at City Walk and just eat there. We try a couple restaurants and they tell us an hour, so we don't stop, we keep on checking. Finally at Portabello's, they tell us 10 minutes so we stay. I loved this restaurant! DH had the rigatoni with italian sausage, I had the linguine with clam sauce. It was excellent! We also loved the bread!
As the waitress was pouring little glasses of complimentary wine, she held the pitcher above my DD's glass and said, "are you 21?" Now I know she looks older, but 21??? I don't think so. She will be 17 in about 3 months. We passed on dessert and decided to walk around West Side a bit to browse. At this point my legs are killing me, and I beg to go back to the room to relax.
Back at the Wilderness Lodge, Jen and I decide to hit the hot tub, its empty for a bit and we have it all to ourselves. The guys are each in their own room with their remote controls missing all the fun
