If you were single, and you could choose what man you wanted to be with, who would you choose - Edward or Christian?:scratchin

I"m looking forward to your answers. :)

For me, it's totally Edward!!!!:goodvibes
He makes my heart flutter - I love his old fashion gentlemanly ways :goodvibes

I gotta say, I'm a little surprised that this thread hasn't caught some attention. Where I live, 50 Shades is talked about constantly - the woman love it!!!

I enjoyed the books, but I definitly enjoyed Twilight more :)

If it were not for his insane control issues, I would pick Christian. Although, Ana handles him fairly well.

So I guess I would have to pick Edward, cold feet and all!!!

BTW, I read and saw all the Twilight movies/books. And I am on the last book of the 50 Shades of Grey!!!

Can I pick celebacy? I haven't read 50 Shades but Edward is WAY too controlling for me!

Now, Jasper I could go for. He treats Alice well!

Aren't they the same person, since 50 Shades was originally a Twilight fanfic?

When she wrote it, the main characters were the same names of Twilight characters - Edward and Bella. The name of the book was Master of the Universe.

I don't know the whole story on why she changed all the names but she did - thank goodness!!!

Many aspects of these characters are the same, but then again, extrememly different. It was sorta fun to locate the similiarites in 50 Shades, kinda like finding hidden Mickeys - LOL!!!

I really can't get into other things, because this board is a family show :)

I loved the Twilight books..
The Shades of Grey series not so much.

On the other hand, my sister did not like Twilight but loved Shades.

I would choose Jacob.

How are they supposed to be similar?

I read all of the Twilight books, and am a Twilight fan, but I have no idea how the books are supposed to be a "fanfic".....

Can we choose both? And Peeta also from Hunger Games.

Only if you agree to star in a TLC program called "Brother Husbands" If the show does well enough you may add Channing Tatum and Ryan Gosling to the family.

Neither, they are both way too controlling and no one should want to be with them IMO.

I liked the Twilight books and have no problem with my daughter reading them but I told her right from the beginning, Bella and Edward's relationship was far from healthy and shouldn't be what she aspires to have.

I am currently reading 50 shades and all I have to say is the author took a controlling, unhealthy relationship and made it a million times worse. I'm really glad I didn't spend any money on this book and while I may end up reading the other two, there is no way I will pay for them.

The first book was pretty slow for me, and I didn't love it like others did. I did love books 2 and 3 though, and I was totally shocked by that.

I am going to reread the first book, because I think I will enjoy it alot more now that I've learned so much background about each of the characters.

Neither.

Both series are so horribly written that identifying with either character is almost impossible. At least in my opinion. Others may vary.

Edward for sure.
On a side note I am a total bookworm but cannot for the life of me finish the 50 shades books. I need more plot less fluff. It is really annoying because usually j like a romance novel but I find there is just too much of the good stuff. And yes Peeta all the way if he was an option.

I agree with you, Slo. I liked the 50 shades series but loved Twilight better. I know that makes me some sad housewife that has a miserable life:rotfl: At least that's what I have heard about women my age that enjoy these books. I liked 50 Shades because I enjoyed the story, just like Twilight. Neither series made me want to lean against the washer during the agitate cycle:rotfl2: I guess if I had to pick, I would go with Christian...he is human and alive:rotfl:

I had a very hard time getting through the first book.
The whole time I was reading it I was also getting annoyed at how everyone loves this book, and I was just okay with it - I just didn't get the hype:confused3. Then I got to book 2, and I just sucked in. In book 2 we see that Ana has all the power and always did, and I thought that was a great twist. I'm not saying anything else in case others haven't read book 2 yet.

I never heard that about older women that loves Twilight - I guess that means you and I are having that sad miserable life together :rotfl:

When it comes to Twilight, I just read all 4 books in January after I got my Kindle for Christmas. I refused to watch any of the movies until I read the books, and having younger kids, I never got to reading these books before. So I bought Twilight, and started it with a VERY open mind. I wanted to know what the big deal was, and I was actually geared up to not love it. I didn't know anything about it, except for the whole Team Edward and Team Jacob stuff we all hear about. Then, when I started reading the books, i was sucked in, literally sucked in, and I couldn't stop reading. I fell head over heals for Edward, and I couldn't get enough of him, and learning more about him, but also the entire vampire family - I found them so cool!!!! (I actually really love Carlisle too). Anyway, I read 4 books in the month of January, and then watched all the movies.

When I read 50 Shades, I was really annoyed in the beginning with how it was so much like Twilight, and I didn't get it. Then I did some research, and found out that it was suppossed to be like that. After that, when I was reading it, I would roll my eyes to myself when something was just like Twilight. I also found some similiarities with the movie Pretty Woman - I wonder if this is coincidence or if the author loves this movie, and meant for that to happen :confused3

I had to laugh about the washer comment :rotfl:
I can honestly say that I was not looking for a washing machine either, but I did call it my mommy porn, and my friends would laugh :rotfl:
