Question on Polynesian studios and private balconies or patios

Upon slithering out of Trader Sam's Grog Grotto a couple weeks ago, DH and I noticed that the Poly buildings we saw as we walked around looked as though the second floors had big glass windows with decorative railings in front of them, but they were definitely not functional balconies you could walk out on. The first floors appeared to have patios and the third floors had actually walk-out balconies, but the second floors did not. The description of the accommodations on the DVC website says all Poly DVC studios have private balconies or decks, so what happens on those second floors? Are those non-DVC units? We're going to attempt to book there pre and post cruise in February and balconies or patios are really important to us, so were hoping someone in the know could clear up that second floor puzzle. Thank you!

The rooms near the Great Ceremonial House are hotel rooms, those were the original longhouses. The DVC villas are near the TTC and all of the DVC longhouses were constructed in 1978 for Tokelau, and 1985 for Pago Pago and Moorea, as they are now called, with balconies on both the 2nd and 3rd floor and patios on the 1st Floor.

Here a photo of Moorea we took about 10 days ago.

And a picture of Pago Pago taken on the same day.

Well that certainly answers my question...thank you so much!
