Question about onboard airline check in

I am thinking about using airline check in on our next cruise because we are flying home the same day we leave the ship. I know that all bags must be placed in the hallway the evening prior. My question is what do you do with your toiletry items and other things like a razor that you can't carry onto the airplane? Do you keep one bag and tag it for the airport the morning you leave? I don't want to have to throw those items away!

We left our tiny bottles of shampoo and soap and used a disposable razor that morning.
