Pumpkins and Pirates and Cowboys... Oh my! Our dream Disney TR!

I am going to be getting out my Sox gear. My future Cousin in law just offered us tickets to the afternoon Red Sox game!!

 :woohoo: :dance3:

They have had a rough road lately, but better to have the slump at the begining of the season than at the end...

But we are off to Fenway!

Yeah. It's like Michaels or Joann's only bigger and more selection. Not sure what AC Moore is, but its sounds like the two are alike. Hobby Lobby is pretty big in Indiana. I'm not sure how far the chain goes, though.

AC Moore is huge here... It is the Hobby Lobby of MA...

I may have to find one when I am in Indiana this summer :D

Woo Hoo!! Have a great time!!

It turns out the Make up game was the 8:30 one. We went and had a great time... I got a chance to take lots of pics with my new camera.

What made it best was that we swept the double header! So as sad as I was that we didn't get to see Dice-K in the afternoon game, the night game was pretty awesome...

Besides I love Fenway... assides from WDW and DL, it may be the next magical place on earth for us. :cloud9:

Hi Tracey! :wave2:
Since you visited my TR, I thought I'd return the favor. Will try to go back and read through this once the girls are in bed tonight.

We're also going in October and we are from MA as well. I did see the picture of you and DBF at Fenway. You are a cute couple! Go SOX!! :goodvibes

So it is Monday and that means it is time to be back at work. So to take my mind off of work I have traveled over here to add on to the PTR.

All my ADR's are made. I decided to do diner at Coral Reef on the second day we are there. But have yet to secure the diver with the message and the personalized menus. I just got the phone number, so I am going to call on Wednesday (when he is over his parents house) to try and secure that.

We picked up the "Imagineers Field Guide to the Magic Kingdom" and we are both enjoying it. It is really an interesting look at the park and we will definately be looking for most of what we were reading about.

Last night, since it was the DBF's game night and I was not going to be able to play, I snuggled into bed and watched Cinderella. Every time I watch that movie, I am blown away with how beautiful the animation is. The scenes for "So this is Love" are some of the most beautiful that Disney has to offer.

He was done in time to catch the second airing of The Increadibles on ABC Family, which we both love and were willing to stay up til One am to watch.

I still need to do quite a bit planning wise. What doesn't help is I don't think our travel agent knew anything about planning the trip even though they are an "official travel agency of WDW", so I don't know whether or not they called and made our Special requests yet. Every call I have made goes unanswered, and I am a little nervous, because we really wanted a king sized bed. Next time, we are not messing around with that. I am doing it myself.

Question of the Day:

Has anyone ever seen a patern for the provencial Belle costume? I can't find it anywhere...

Everyone knows the story of Captian Jack the pirate, but have you heard tell of the car?

I got my super new blue Toyota Carolla in 2004 as a "welcome to the real world.." present for myself complete with 5 year loan payment. On my way to pick up the car, my junk car broke down. Thank goodness they understood and soon a tow truck came and got me and the old car and brought me to my new one.

I was instantly in love with that car. And the next day, I went to go meet a friend of mine to see the first pirate movie.

We fell in love with Captian Jack Sparrow.

After the movie we grabbed dinner and drinks and got into the conversation about naming a car. Guys do it, and their manly magazines have articles about it. Why couldn't I?

"How about Captian Jack?" I suggested on a whim.

She loved it and the name stuck. I have everyone calling my car that!!

Now when DBF and I go out, I ask, "Do you want to take Captian Jack? He has better gas milage than your car?" He just laughs and shakes his head!

And that my friends is the story of Captian Jack.

That is too cute. My first car was a blue ford escort wagon, her name was Betsy. :goodvibes

If you haven't, you really should pick up The Imagineering Field Guide to Magic Kingdom. It really was a great read. It is nice to see the sketches and preliminary blueprints for many of the things in Magic Kingdom.

It was so good, that when I went to the Mall tonight to pick up my grandparents ring from the jewlers, I had to go into Barnes and Noble and pick up the guides to EPCOT and Animal Kingdom. (And Mike Lowell's Autobiography, but that has nothing to do with Disney.)

It is time for sleep... Good Night everyone!

Okay...you've convinced me. I am going to put it on my reading list. Have you read Realityland? It's a really good book about WDW and how they built it and little antidotes about the people who were involved in the project and also how WDW has grown and developed. I can't remember who wrote it and am too lazy to look it up on Amazon. Someone on allears.net reviewed so that is how I found out about it. :thumbsup2

:woohoo: I think you will really like it, and the price is decent. (Only $10) It is the only guide book DBF will pick up, because of all the interesting stuff in it.

I have heard about Realityland, and it is on the reading list. After I will finish these, I will have to check it out!

Found my way to your report by way of Tinkabellarella's pretrippie. Love reading your plans so far. I'm terribly envious that you are going the week I had been wanting to go this year. (I'm traveling with my brother and nieces, so pre-school end of August for us). My birthday is that week, and really wanted to go for that. (Plus you're staying at the Boardwalk, on my wish list!)

I went as blue dress Belle last year to MNSSHP myself. It was a huge hit with alot of the cast members I ran into that night. I even found a light up rose to carry around with me. I couldn't find a pattern myself, so I ended up just buying a costume from a woman on Ebay. She custom made them per your personal measurements. (I just wish I had made the skirt a bit longer). Here is a pic:

I had to pick up a fake ponytail too, because my 6yr old niece kept telling me my short hair wasn't very Belle like it, and maybe I should dress as a pirate instead. :rotfl:

Welcome!!!

This deserves a banana dance!

Thanks for reading!

I always went with my grandparents the week of Columbus Day week (before the Food and Wine and MNSSHP existed) and I loved it! When we were talking about dates, that just seemed to fit so perfectly. Besides... It will be fun celebrating DBF's birthday there. Boardwalk had the location and we were intregued by the theme. Maybe I can convince him to do a photo session there if they offer it by then.

You don't happen to remember her screen name or store name do you?

That is awesome!!!! You look great and really like a princess:

My hair is really long now, so I am going to cut it this weekend and let it grow out a bit before we leave.

Not long at all. I tried to go back and check my e-mails to find out exactly how long, but that must be the one e-mail I deleted from my gmail account.

I would say about 2 - 2 1/2 weeks. I remember being surprised at how quick I received it.

I'm so disappointed that I won't be able to wear it at a MNSSHP party again this year. I was hoping for a P&P party at least, but nothing is scheduled when I'm going to be there.

One thing I learned though, is that it's very hard to get off of Space Mountain gracefully while wearing a dress!:lmao:

Awesome... I get a small bonus in July... and I think I am going to use it for that.

Thank you for the tip, because DBF loves Space Mountain!!!

I would have never guessed that was a fake ponytail! It's such a great costume.

Thanks. The color matches my hair nearly exactly. Even better I picked it up for about $10 on ebay brand new. Felt pretty real too. I've worn it a few times since and no one has ever guessed its not real.

You really do need to brave clutsiness to hit Space Mtn. That's were they give out the full size packages of Kissables! I finally figured out the best way was just to grab a hold of my bff's shoulder for levarage. I didn't even chance Splash Mtn.
