Did you use names instead of numbers for the tables at your reception? I'm looking for ideas/inspirations, so if you're willing, can you share what you did or are planning to do for your reception tables?

Thanks! :)

I am going to have a sign where the name cards are that will pretty much say- match your character to the movie. ( Im going to find a rhyme or some way to say it cute) Then on every name card I will have a sticker (for example, grumpy from Snow White) and they'll go to the "Snow White" table which will have a matching sticker on their menu card so they can find their seat. Hope this helps!

I am doing the same as the above poster only mine will have a little box with the character name on the inside on a little wooden star. They will find the table that has the framed page from a coloring book on it. We have an Aladdin, Little mermaid and lion king table.

I themed my tables after different Princess movies so I'm going to use framed silhouettes of each princess on the tables as the marker. Not quite sure how I will do the escort cards yet. That's on today's agenda... Lol

I used rides in the parks as the table names, and then for escort cards i used fastpasses to show them where they were sitting. :goodvibes

we had an alice in wonderland “theme”. abut 30 guests total. we did basic seating arrangement (just who to put at which of the 4 tables, not exact seat assignments). the tables were characters from AIW (cheshire cat, mad hatter, white rabbit, red queen) and each name card was set up and i did like a stamp and drawing of the character, then each table was decorated a little differently. it worked out well and gave us extra decor elements and projects for me to DIY

you can kinda see the table markers here - that “half moon” is the cheshire cat’s smile. i also did “themed” confetti on each table that disney put out for us (cats and half moon shapes for the cheshire cat’s smile, etc...)

the clock is the white rabbit symbol if you are thinking *** is that??!!

We had couples as our table names. Then on the escort card, there was a cute little saying like "Please join us "Under the Sea" at the Ariel and Prince Eric table." Then the escort card had a picture of the couple and the table name had a big picture of them.

We will only have four tables for our 30 guests, but we are doing table names of the four Disney parks. They will also have a picture of the parks logo above the name. We are having them made at Impressions.

Our place cards will be embroydered Mickey ears with each guests name.

we're not sure how we're doing our tables other than each table will be named after a disney/pixar movie :D (Lion king, nightmare before christmas, cars, etc) ;)

Our reception is pirate themed so our tables are named after ships and ports found in the Pirates of the Carribean movies. The tables with ship names will have model ships named after their corresponding pirate ship and the port named tables have seagull's resting on a boat tie dock.

The escort cards will be compasses and inside the reception room will be a large "treasure" map to show our guests where their tables are.

Our vow renewal reception theme is Rockin' All Over the World and our table names are bands. The sweetheart table is Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band. Our other 4 tables are The Kinks, The Beatles, The Beach Boys and The Four Seasons.

For my ladies luncheon which is Alice themed, I have 2 tables and they will be Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum. If I need a third, it will be Cheshire Cat.

Our welcome dinner is Lady & the Tramp themed and those tables are Lady & the Tramp, Si & Am, Jock & Trusty and Peg.

Our farewell breakfast is Mickey Mouse Club and those are Mickey & Minnie, Donald & Daisy, Chip & Dale and Pluto & Goofy.

As of now, our table names are:

The smaller 4-top tables:
Mickey Mouse
Donald Duck
Minnie Mouse
Daisy Duck
Goofy
Pluto

The 8 top-tables:
Hollywood Studios
Magic Kingdom
Animal Kingdom
Epcot

I am using the names of rides as my table names. The escort cards (place cards) are being made to look like fast passes.

Depending on numbers will depend on our table names.

If we have 10 tables worth, I'm doing the ten princesses and their princes

Snow White and the Prince
Cinderella and Prince Charming
Sleeping Beauty and Prince Philip
Ariel and Prince Eric
Beauty and the Beast
Aladdin and Jasmine
Pocahontas and John Smith
Mulan and Li Shang
Tiana and Prince Naveen
Rapunzel and Flynn Rider.

I was gonna have silhouettes of the couples and then do them in my favourite colour.

If we have 7 tables worth then it will be

Magic Kingdom
Epcot
Hollywood Studios
Animal Kingdom
Blizzard Beach
Typhoon Lagoon
Downtown Disney

Our reception was at the living seas in 2010. We made cut-outs of Mickey ears and drew and painted different Disney characters for each table. We originally were going to do Little Mermaid characters for the groom's side and Nemo characters for the Bride's side, but we brainstormed all kinds of cool ideas which included:

Ariel
Sebastion
Genie (in the bathtub)
Alice (In the bottle in the sea of tears)
Tic-Toc (The croc from Peter Pan)
Merlin and Wart (as fish)
Jiminy Cricket (in the bubble)
Tiana and Naveen (as frogs)
Stitch on a surfboard (for the sweetheart table - our favorite)
Bruce

They came out great! The placeccards read, "M/M Jon Smith Please be Seated with Genie". People loved it.

If we only have 4 tables we will have the 4 park names with their logos too :thumbsup2 if we have more I haven't decided, maybe Finding Nemo characters as it's one of our favorite movies

If you had 6 tables you could always have the 2 wateparks along with the 4 regular parks. Just an idea. :)

We haven't gotten this far into the planning yet.. but we are thinking about naming the tables after our favorite park rides (for example: Space Mountain, Pirates of the Caribbean, Mission Space, etc.). The reason we thought of this was because we are going to make the escort cards look like fast passes. So we figured why not put the ride logo at the top and make them look really legit?
